Wanted Looking for fender bolts for ST1100

Put some purple Loktite (222) on them and snug them down only as tight as they need to be. Don't crack the plastic.

Think something like this work to have to buy ten of them. May try a Fastenal here locally too surely they have something but they’re bull dealer never bought from them before.

I’m not sure they are a specialty fastener for sure. And they are exposed. As long as it works I really don’t care the fender stays in place without them I’m just not crazy about them being gone.
Definitely loc11, 90106-MT3-000, SCREW,PAN 6X46

And they're not only "holding" the fender in place, they're attaching the fork-brace in there, stabilizing the front end...

Yes, losing those shoulder bolts for any parts of the fairing are probably one of my top worries, practically unobtanium. Only way I can think of to recreate them is to get a standard button head bolt. Then wrap some stainless wire around it underneath the head to make a new shoulder. Then use baking soda and super glue to fuse it together and with the bolt. Sand/file it to match the original

Or find/make a metal sleeve bushing to slip over the bolt to mimic the shoulder. Dunno...brainstorming.

Nope, I get it I’ve been doing the same. And can’t believe I lost them. Anyway, a 6 x 55 button head screw is commonly available and I think a suitable sized bushing could be found or made to slide up to the top of the head. Hell it could be a pen body. When I got divorced one if my prize possessions I had the sell was a 1939 Southbend lathe I restored it was 6 x 36” perfect little machine for making a bushing like I’ll need. It is not structural though it’s just a fender bolt I ran it all last season without them and it was fine.

Someone with a lathe could probably make these fairly easily, start with an M8 or M10 button head bolt, machine the shoulder to dimension then thread it for M6.

I'm also of the opinion that the shoulder isn't overly necessary, if it were me I'd just shove a button head on it and call it a day.

ETA - another option is a 3d printed sleeve around the bolt, assuming there's enough room to slip it over an M6 and get to your final ODs.

Yup way I’m leaning too. It’s gotta be better than nothing! And absolutely why I miss my little Sourhbend lathe! I’m sure I can fine some thin wall small tubing and cut it down to make a bush, again maybe a Bic pen body? I can find something that will work. Thanks for your thoughts though!

How thing does it need to be? Something could be 3d printed fairly easily.

Sure. Lemme get the screw and then I’ll give you OD of screw and ID if fender which could also be opened up a bit too?
Thanks!

Gotcha sorry following this on my 4” IPhone at work. . Not a desktop. Looks like a River nut. Where can I get said bush at?;) not trying to reinvent the wheel. Maybe you sent a link earlier but seemed like they were spendy? I may be wrong and freely confess this!;)
