Itchy Boots

Seems folks have gone lax with Itchy in here, or not as participatory
That’s possible,I know I try and see an episode as soon as it comes out. Spring is about to happen, many of us are busy getting ourselves ready for the next season.
I enjoy her content, and look forward to future episodes.
A lot of us have been following her since the beginning….

I've been watching her this season. I still think she's nuts, but at the same time she amazes me with where she goes and how she seems to get out of every jam, one way or the other!

Most of my participatory activities have been getting caught up with Season 7 (finally current) and working through her first moto-vlogging course.
Yeah, I signed up -- I've always been interested in video, rhen with drones, so given the high quality of her work I figured she's qualified to tell me some stuff.
And if my little payment helps to keep her going, all the better.
I think the advanced course will be more helpful to me, though.

I mentioned this YouTube channel in another post, but I thought it deserves it’s own thread. This channel was recommended to me a couple of months ago. The author Noraly is a young Dutch rider who chose a Royal Enfield Hymalian as her STead. The format of her videos is perfected over time and they are a treat to watch. This season she encorporates the use of a drone, which enhances the viewing pleasure. She has a great sense of adventure, engages with the locals, and it’s uplifting. The videos are generally under twenty minutes, so you can easily watch them on a lunch break or extended coffee break.
For us folks who have put away our bikes for the season,
I think it’s worth checking out.
In her last video the key broke in the gas cap. My ST did the same thing last year. Always carry a spare.

@core-aggie , I started this thread in 2019, the longevity, and nearing 2k posts and 90 pages is quite an accomplishment. I’m amazed at the participation! Just sayin’
In today’s episode we got another glimpse at her decision making process, she’s crazy but not too crazy to put herself in extreme jeopardy. Having said that, I recognize that she may have exceeded our own personal comfort zones and that she is indeed crazy. I shall continue to watch and learn.
she’s up to something that requires considerable amount of food, fuel and water and we wait until Friday to find out what that is. ;)

Just watched her 600 km ride thru the desert. Trust Noraly to find the only tree within miles under which to eat lunch. At least she did not crash into it and kill the tree.

Two Q's. Anyone know what that jar of food was?

What do you guys think of her camo pants? It sort of makes her look like the military guys at the 480km stop where there was no vacancy.

I typically don't care for camo in street clothes, and I surely would avoid "camo" riding gear.
I want those damned deer to SEE me!
Not riding to hunt deer.
In her case, she wants the sheep, camels and goats to see her.
Good thing RevIt didn't send her desert camo!

I think this what was in the jar

She is fun to watch and is certainly resourceful. At the same time she presents as a ditzy blond. She is starting to respect and avoid traveling through snow, but then she plans a trip to an area where there is literally nothing to see. And, oh yeah, you could trigger a land mine. Her "risk-reward" algorithm is off sometimes.

Maybe that's what makes it fun!

1. Yes and it's quite a contradiction. Noraly is a geologist who was working on a PhD when she chucked that to go around the world. She makes some rather casual comments about the mechanics of her bike, yet she has outfitted it with aftermarket gear (and done a d*** good job of it, imho). Her dialogue often comes across as banal, but she lightens it up with a laugh or chuckle. She seems to be naive yet navigates borders with aplomb.
2. I wonder how much of this is showmanship. There were a heck of a lot of tracks on that trail so there must be frequent travel despite the threat of mines. There are no complaints aired though I sensed a bit of concern on her part during that Atlas mountain crossing where she had to chock the wheel with a rock to prevent the downed bike from sliding when she picked it up. All in all, quite a woman.

Did she seem to have eye makeup on in the morning 'briefing' of her 600 km trip across the desert? If so it sort of ruins her image.

She has become pretty savvy with youtubing, so that is a good possibility.

For sure. Her respiration rate was going pretty high and it wasn't all because of exertion!

So she wanted him to remove the borked bits and he says "how 'bout a chain guard?" and whips one up. Trés cool. And he fabs a patch for the air box. Or has one fabbed. I think he's saying/referring to polystyrene? It looked like fiberglass matting. But she's on her way. Do some of these people get to see themselves on YT? Tea sympathy and bike repair. One stop shopping. The music and drone footage was very Law-rence like. Also trés cool. Onward!

Noraly ... gets the Imperial Suite !!
.
She's also frustrated which date she wants !!!
