Is Honda killing the VFR1200?

but the CEO decides to go in another direction altogether.
And when that happens there'll be joy in Mudville and dancing in the STreets. Until then congratulations on your NOS FJR.

I think a classic example of this was when Honda was run by Mr. Honda. If he entered into a particular market segment, he was aiming to own before he was done.
Yes I agree with this sentiment but Mr. Honda retired in 1973. A lot of benchmark Hondas still came went in the last 45 years.

The thing that is the biggest limiting factor with any of the bikes is range. With my 120mi/day commute, I was filling up every 2 days. With the new FJR it is looking like it will be every 1.5 days. The Connie had an even smaller tank and the new Goldwing is likewise coming with a smaller tank. I never understood the small tank mentality...

Agree 100 percent. One must remember Mr Honda was an excellent engineer as well as C.E.O. of Honda Motor Corporation. It was expected of new engineers to work in the motorsports side of Honda first before designing new engines for cars and motorcycles. No you are right Honda was a different company back then. Now todays business model is a C.E.O. can run a car company and know nothing about cars.

today's CEO needs to only know one thing: how do I get more compensation is all that matters, period.

He is starting his own museum Coop. Where have you been?

No kidding? That explains why he buys a new bike, keeps it as his go to ride for two weeks and puts it in the garage with 80K miles on it.
