3/4 Century of Trivia
In the Aug 2010 issue of Field and Stream, there is a comparison of boots, and after reading the reviews in the magazine plus many more on line, I decided to plunk down some money on the Irish Setter Shadow Trek. Irish Setter is a trademark owned by Red Wing Shoes, among others.
I went to Bass Pro Shop and was told they had them on sale for $69 on clearance and nobody could tell me if or when they would restock.
A long search later I eventually wound up at a Red Wing store. Now I haven't even heard of them since I was a kid, when they sold kid shoes and little else that I remember.
In any case I had to special order as not one single shoe of the Irish Setter brand was in the store. Later I find that the closest store to have anything was hundreds of miles away.
Anyone have experience with these, and what is your opinion?
