FJR1300 and Super Tenere dropped from Yam website

Meeting the Euro Spec Emissions is killing off MANY makes and models this year.
That and the new generation of riders are wanting much smaller dual sport type bikes.
Sad state of affairs for motorcycles.

I don’t get it, big ST’s are the most enjoyable way to see the countryside. Too many wannabes trying to pretend they need the off-road prowess of a tall, lanky ADV bike.

Maybe or rebadged 2024's in Canada?
Naw - they really cannot do that.

Once a vehicle is built and a VIN is assigned, it ties that vehicle to a specific model-year and it cannot be changed, even by an OEM.

Either they really are going to sell 2025s here or the Yamaha Canada website has not yet been updated.

I also noticed the US site shows only the Tracer 9 GT, not the GT+. They're probably updating the site.

IF THEY FIT……most big adventure bikes have a more open cockpit for those of us who are taller, have longer inseams, and/or are older. I just had total left knee replacement and I can assure you my Super Tenere will be more comfortable than the ST1300s that I owned 15-20 years ago. My Super Tenere and BMW 1250GS are my current sport touring bikes.

Did ST's sold as post 2012 models have original VIN or did they get assigned new ones? It is my understanding that there was no production past 2012.

Yamaha always updated the bikes on its website over a few month span and the FJR was always one of the last to show up. Both bikes have been threatened to be dropped for several years now. Rebadged? The Super Tener hasn't been updated or changed since 2014 and the FJR since I think 2018. Good bikes both but Yamaha has milked the models pretty good.

What's really interesting is Yamaha has the Tracer 9 GT listed for '25 and still lists the '24 as the GT+. The write up for the '25 no longer lists adaptive cruise and adaptive brake but does mention standard cruise control. Maybe they got rid of the features no one wanted?

I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions. Continuing and new models tend to trickle out from now and even well into spring. Gone are the days when a manufacturer rolled out all of their new model year bikes at once.
