Donald Masters - R.I.P.

RIP, Donald and our condolensces to his family and friends. Kudos as well to all those involved in the rescue effort. Many, many people gave their time to help out in a wide variety of ways.

My deepest condolences to his family and friend. I never knew him but visited the thread with the search updates for him several times a day, hoping and praying he would be found okay.

Ride free Donald....there are no ditches in Heaven. Heartfelt prayers and condolences to your family, and deep gratitude to the extended family of riders who are there to help a "brother" (or "sister") in need. I am sure Donald would be proud to ride with any of those who could get there to help with the search...so those riding home, ride with pegs down...know that Donald is riding with you!

Rest in Peace Donald.

I just want to thank Mellow for keeping us all informed, this website is beyond excellent!
I am convinced that this venue was the foundational center for all ideas, organization, and updates. Joe...you are awesome!

I was Donald's wife for 24 years. I am grieving deeply to have my worst fears confirmed--as are Donald's son, my son and daughter and his many, many friends. We cannot express our gratitude enough for this community that has given time and energy. We want to thank you in some way. Please let me know if there is anythiing you need.

Most of you did not know Donald. He was not a simple man; he was a very good man. He loved his family and had many friends. He was coming home to meet his new granddaughter, Ella, born while he was on the trip. Our last conversations with him were warm and happy. He died as he would have wanted--on his bike in beautiful country. Thank you on behalf of myself, Noah, Justin, Ashley, John and Ella.

I knew neither Donald or any of you, yet I sit here with tears in my eyes and sadness in my heart.

My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace and may his family find comfort in the efforts put forth by this group of people.

A good life has a collection of good relationships. Donald Masters helped create more than a few new ones. I am pleased to have met and have e- & phone tack with his family friends and strangers. I only hope that we practice making new relationships before tragedy brings us together... I pray Donald that you are traveling with GOD and peace to your family.

Caroline, you don't owe us anything... Donald would have done this for us, simple as that.

Very sorry for your loss and you and your family are in our hearts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear this news. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

RIP Donald Masters

I never knew Donald Masters, but after working with the family so closely these last 11 days I grew to know Donald through their thoughts and words. One thing that really stood out was how Donald seemed to be able to reach out to strangers and welcome them into his world.

In his finally day on earth he reached out across two countries, extended his hand and brought us all together and showed the world that good still prevails.

I never knew Donald yet he changed my life, many lives, forever.

Godspeed Donald Masters

My heartfelt condolences to Donald Masters' family and friends. Although I didn't know him nor his family, he was part of a special "riding" family. I'm sure he's giving God some pointers regarding his Goldwing and God is trading pointers him for his heavely Goldwings. God bless all the riders and folks who participated in looking for a brother rider.

So sad to hear after all the seach efforts to find him safe. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I am so very sad to hear of this outcome. I am also humbled and awestruck at the tremendous effort made by the motorcycling community, and by this site in particular, to find Donald. I am proud and honoured to be a motorcyclist, and to be associated with this extended family of brother and sister riders. You are all heroes.

My deepest condolences go to Donald's family and friends; may you find strength through this hard time.

R.I.P., Donald Masters, ride free.

condolences to Mr. Masters' family for their loss.

It is uplifting and inspiring to see the efforts of those who helped in the search from this forum and others even though there was a sad ending.

It's sad indeed the search has ended in this way. The efforts of everyone involved have been overwhelming, truly heroic, without any exaggeration.

Found myself checking 10 or more times a day hoping Donald would be found and be okay. Condolences to his family and friends, and to all those participated in the search.

May he Rest In Peace.

Very sad news, but I like to think there is always a bright side. He was doing something that he loved to do. Most people don't leave this world while enjoying life. I hope when my time comes that I will also be enjoying something I'm passionate about, not lying in a bed waiting for the end.

I didn't know Donald or any of his family. I didn't know any of those that were out looking for him, but I'm proud to know so many cared enough to devote their time.

Condolences and best wishes to Donald's family.

My deepest condolences to the Donald family.

In addition, a big Texas size heartfelt thanks to all the volunteer riders who spent many days in search of Donald. The outpouring of help was truly inspiring.

Peace,

Red
