2014 Honda CTX1300

The bike in the pics appears to have a clutch lever.

Hmmm, spose Honda had a warehouse full of ST1300 engines lying around and wanted to do something with them???

Making more ST1300s with upgraded electronics and suspension wouldn't have come to Hondas mind.

Is this just a ruse to get lips flappin'?
Currently trying to get an answer to that question...

What I'm hearing back from my source includes a reference to questionable PhotoShopping, but reading between the lines it seems more like "can't confirm or deny." If we're looking at PhotoShopped images, that's some pretty fine work.

If in the market for a Cruiser, with the V4 I'd think about it. Kinda getting used to some weather protection on the ST. :)

I think the headers and heat could be an issue, but put a decent windshield on it and it could be a very comfortable touring bike. Looks like it has a very comfortable standard seating position similar to the ADV bikes. Legs neither forward or back. Looking forward to more info on it.

I think the three biggest styling problems with that bike are the short screen, pullback bars, and the ugly mufflers.

The short screen says "I wanna be a Harley!" The pullbacks say... "Whiskey Tango...!" Echoed by the ugly mufflers.

Honda seems determined to win the Ugliest Exhaust award. I thought the ST's mufflers were ugly! At least when I look at them now I can say "It could have been worse". A cruiser isn't meant to look sleek and refined but could they have made the mufflers look any more ungainly and uglier?

I really like chrome headers and miss the days when Honda spent money on them and they were double lined. No yellow-blue pipes. Some subtle chrome touches would be nice.

That bike might look a lot better without fairing at all. From what I can see the tank looks a little retro and I like that.

Honda's going after the/a cruiser segment and it may be that they're giving up on sport-touring. <sigh>

Shark? Meet Fonzie. Fonzie? Shark. Jump, Fonzie, Jump.

ish. Looks like a Pokemon from the front. Honda's really pushing hard to get me on a different brand.. :(

My '77 GL1000 had floorboards and gave me much the same riding position. It was extremely comfortable. Kitted out with the required Vetter accessories took it from a UJM to a fairly competent and pretty comfortable touring bike. I never felt the need for highway pegs and rarely had to stretch my legs. There's an OEM option for a taller windshield for the F6B so I bet there's one for this bike. The engine heat could be an issue. Some riders have a problem with the ST's engine heat but it doesn't bother me.

the more I look---the more I detect photo shop tom foolery

Please explain. The faces are obviously blurred but I'm guessing the bike is for real if not just a concept bike.

Don't forget that unfaired, engine heat becomes a whole different ballgame.

I haven't. I was just pointing out that not everybody sees/feels things the same. Riding that bike in slow heavy traffic would be a problem for just about anybody who isn't in ATGATT. Or a former H-D rider who still has his or her leather pants. Even then. But people ride unfired H-Ds all the time. So until if and when I ride this bike I won't jump to any conclusions.

looked again---maybe not but I thought I saw different shades of color different positions but maybe the light

I'm no expert on image retouching, but looking at these images, the typical cues for a fake (off perspective, quirky shadows, subject and background exposed differently) don't seem to be there. I have to wonder what would be the incentive/payoff to someone to go through all the effort to PhotoShop the product in question.

Probably have to wait until Milan or Tokyo to get "official" word.

Ok so set my alarm for Nov.5.

Bad news for some:

The 'leaked' product sheet article mentioned that they thought the Fury motor was the logical choice for the CTX1300 and the ST13 motor as the long shot. The ST13 is really so obscure, why would anyone take the time to Photoshop it. Only one rider in a 100 (ST owners included) would recognize it.

My ST was hot while in motion, the HD is hot when stopped. Both my legs are very close to the heads and the back cylinder exhaust pipe is just inside my right knee. My right knee actually gets hot from the air filter occasionally.
