Something about the English name of the bug that goes in the soup rubs me wrong. REALLY wrong.

Hmm, I see your point....
Sad tale really, they used to be so many of them that farmers would feed them to the cattle, we kids would hit them with tennis bats they would spin around confused and then simply carry on whatever they were doing.
My kids never knew that and my grandkids dont even know that they existed, but I actually miss them, they had a very deep droning sound when flying and for me that was the sound of the beginning of summer.
