Wow, back to (my) archives... you're reviving one of the earliest posts I ever made here. Not to be confused with the 20-something-odd-years of the real earliest posts.

I found a used but never installed Migsel, which was perfect for me, but the 2 outside post holes don't work with any of the RAM balls I've tried to install. Wrong thread pitch, even with 'official' RAM balls. Only use the main one in the middle anyway, for my Garmin XT. Thought I might use the others for a radar detector and maybe a camera, but haven't needed them.

And I'm not real clear what you mean by spring nut, unless you mean a nut under the dash that holds the shelf down?
