When’s day?coffee feb.19th

Morning all.......
Thanks for the start up Stoo. Great pics always.....

It is hump day.......and I think I am over the hump......with this dang cold stuff. Head has cleared and lungs are almost clear....Yahoo..!!!
Skiing set for Friday, lots of new snow, can't wait.

@Peppermint , so sorry for the link sausage fingers, hope it gets better.

And remember ......never confront home invaders in the nude...... Then again it may work as a scare tactic....

Go have a humpy kinda day,
T

Morning all! Weather is the same as yesterday, grey and wet. Though we now also have a wind warning with gusts between 70-90kph. Temperature currently at 7C with a predicted high of 9C.

Put the bike battery on the charger yesterday as the bike wouldn't start when I tried it out. Thankfully, the battery retains enough juice for you to press a button and there's enough oomph (sorry, don't mean to get all electricky technical here) to start it once. I let it run for a bit while I hunted for my charger in various bins. Once located I hooked it up and from a quick peek this morning, it appears that the battery is back to full charge. Now, just need the weather to ride in.

My wife has her first follow up with the orthopaedic surgeon this afternoon. Hopefully, we'll hear nothing but good news. As for what caused the break, that is likely going to take a little longer which kind of sucks but tests must be run, samples taken and machines permitted to ping before the chaps and chappies (lassies? women? collectively pointy heads in white coats?) are able to express a maybe it's this, maybe it's that. Personally, I think they swiped that uncertainty don't want to get caught expressing a firm opinion from us, the OG World is seen through shades of grey posse.

In other news, it appears our daughter will be decamping from Montreal in the next month or so and coming to reside with us in Lotusland. Along with her boyfriend. The dog is ecstatic at the thought of all the walks to come. It will be nice to have them close but there will be ground rules.....most likely theirs. What can I say, I have boundary issues....I'm working on them.

Hope everyone has a great day and gets a charge out of life!

it’s still 25F, and I’ve done nothing except trek out to fill the bird feeder. Evidently, word got out and I now have about 20 Cardinals and at least 50 Juncos at the feeder. Don’t know where the Juncos came from. They’re new.

The titanium hardware in my hip begins to hurt when it gets cold, but it’s loosened up enough to let me put on socks without using a helper device. First time in 4 weeks.

Looking at single digit temps for the next two nights, with wind chill in the -10 range. Is global warming coming any time soon?

It's already here fella, this is as good as it gets apparently.
The east wind off the North Sea today didn't stop it just went straight through ya.
The good news is the Venison Sausage Casserole will be out in half an hour and the French Malbec/Syrah may warm me through.
But single digital f temps is just taking the mickey, I blame the politicians.
Stay warm and keep feedin the birdies, mine are on various suet varieties and worms at the moment. Worms are in short supply, I think they're all in Martin's burgers.

Afternoon Stu & All from overcast skies, in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 52F (today's high), with the winds from the SSW @ 7 to 11mph.

Slot Cars? Oh yeah, I remember them only too well. I wore out several sets, 1/32 scale & HO, along with HO trains! :wave1:

Chris had some running around this morning and then this afternoon I had to take her to get some pills for an issue she has. I did start on figuring out what parts I need for the rebuild (it is a rebuild or just deep maintenance) of the ST1300P engine. I printed out each of the sections from Partzilla and I'm circling the parts I know I need. Then I'll go through my parts and pull out what I have, then order the rest. I can tell the coolant lines and the clutch will be the costly items!

Lunch has been had, had to settle for Coke, instead of Pepsi, since that's all they had.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Coke?
I'd rather drink coffee.
Coke!

Wow that takes me back 50+ years. Didn't realize they even still made them. Or are yours in the "vintage" category?
Not in the vintage group. I have a Carrera Go (not digital) 1/43 scale set up. This works best for some of the photography that I do as well as for some of the fill-in scene videos I create.

Here's an example:

Impsls on the jacksm.jpg

That whole scene fits in my hand.

You may find the "digital" slot cars interesting. You can race on the same track, pass, pit stop, change lanes ... whatever. It's a whole new animal.
