I've got a Rocket Alter Ego that needs a wash. They recommend hand wash only. Anybody use a wash machine for these? Hand wash just seems like too much work. :) Thanks. :06biker:

I have an Alter Ego and here is exactly what I do.

#1 Remove all armor
#2 Take panels out and remove the backpack. (Do not wash)
#3 Put jacket and removable panel in washing machine
#4 Use Hand Wash or Light Agitation Cycle
#5 Use Woolight for detergent.
#6 After Spin cycle remove jacket and allow it to hang dry with the panel hung separately.
#7 Re-Install the armor and enjoy.

I have washed my jacket a good 25 times with zero issue. (I use Woolight Dark since I have a Black Alter Ego Jacket and Pants.)

That's good to know Rob, but since the Alter Ego has an internal rain liner a few trips in the rain cleans them nicely. Rub some bar soap on if you are finicky. lol
