Tuesday, January 7th coffee

I had a deal with the neighbour behind me in Calgary as we shared a sidewalk that ran alongside both of our properties (we each lived on a corner lot); I would remove as much snow as possible with my snowblower and he then came along behind with his backpack blower. That thing was like a jet engine and he could peel trod down snow and ice off the sidewalk down to bare concrete. They aren't cheap but it was definitely effective.

Oh you guys are MAKING me COLD! And I have enough of my own to deal with! Well sort of...

Morning Afternoon Keith & All from COLD enough, Southern Utah!

Currently it is "trying" to snow, but @ 33F, it ain't sticking! No snow blowing for me today! :hat3: High today will be all of 36F, and the winds have been blowing from the NNE @14 to 19mph.

Chris just brought me a bunch of house hunting stuff from back in 2018, when we were looking in the area, and bought our first lot. Boy oh boy, have prices changed! One house we had a flyer on, went for $380K back in June of 2018, just sold for around $680K the second of this month! :eek-2x: Now, all I have to worry about is what they will do to my property taxes this year! :censored:

I doubt if I'll do anything constructive today, it's just too cold! :well1:

Lazyman's breakfast, Pepsi(s) will be in the works for later!

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

For light stuff you'd be better to have a small electric shovel (aka snow thrower - not snow blower.)
I love my Toro power shovel. I've used and abused mine so much over the decade or so I've had it. And it still mystifies neighbors when they see it lobbing snow 15-20 feet down range. I had it ready this time but wanted to give the gas ones a workout. Looks like we'll get another shot of snow Friday night.

I've seen folks use power brooms too (the paddle ones)

This DIY though, looks like fun!

My little insurance policy. It'll convert to a broom like those, but never done it...too wet & heavy here. As for that other one, be careful which end you hold onto. Very careful.
