That sucks Patty. Even if it wasn't a good fit, it's never fun to lose your job, I'm sorry. I really hope this means the right door will open up for you now and I know you will land on your feet. Plus, they suck dirty canal water.
So... intend to retire?Lots of paperwork and planning of next steps to deal with now.
@PeppermintMorning all, and thanks for the coffee, vittles and chuckles, Dave - all are much needed this morning.
Not too cold today, overcast skies, flurries and a patch of sun or two at some point. We're under a winter storm watch from Wednesday night through most of Thursday; looks like this will be the first really big snowfall of the winter. I would have said that's rather late for winter here, but since Feb. and March have proven to be the snowiest months for the past several years, I guess it makes sense.
Snowstorms are unpleasant enough, I guess, but alas, I have even more unpleasant news: as of yesterday, I am unemployed. In truth, I think the prevailing feeling in the roller coaster of emotions I'm experiencing (and will be for a while) is that of "relief." Simply put, I was not a good fit for them, and they were certainly not a good fit for me. I believe I've alluded to the fact that I've been pretty unhappy and way over-stressed in that job; in fact, the stress was making me sick and I'm fairly sure it was a major contributor to last week's arthritis crisis. Anyway, there it is. Lots of paperwork and planning of next steps to deal with now. So, onward and hopefully, upward.
Have a good one, folks. Stay safe and go safely.

So sorry to hear Pepp. I think it stings more when they are the ones that let you go and not the other way around. But I hope this will lead to a much more satisfying and fulfilling job for you. TC.I have even more unpleasant news: as of yesterday, I am unemployed. Mornin all, thanks for the coffee Dave. Starting at 4F, w a feels like -14, warming to a comfy 22. Beautiful view out the front window this morning.
So sorry @Peppermint , although the last position I left led to this one. Pastoring a sweet church in a small town surrounded by the best motorcycling roads in the Pacific NW! Praying this next chapter opens the best season of your life.
