We're currently having a breezeway built to connect our house to the garage.

A refresher view ...

Nevermind the boat house on the right. That's a project for another year ... as is the boat inside of it.

We've been in this house for 3 years and this is the first project that we have actually wanted to do. Everything to this point has been an "oh bugger" type action. The breezeway will be complete with a ramp so we can drag the wagon load of groceries into the house without interaction with the outside (the garage is 2,100 square feet and 400sqare feet of that is a temp controlled workshop, but it still holds 7 cars easily).

This is the least of the nonsense currently taking place here.

Morning all. It's mostly overcast with the odd bit of blue sky peeking through. Currently 7C but it was lower than that for the ride in, around 4C I believe. The high will be 9C and some rain is forecast for later. The winds have finally died down though they're supposed to get started again tomorrow.

I was able to take the bike in to work today so that left a grin on my face. I have decided that I am addicted and the bike is the drug of choice. Benign addiction :D .

My brother gets roped into a polar bear plunge every New Year's Day for his work. As any good brother would, I provide moral support from the comfort of my living room. One guy I know goes for a swim in the ocean almost daily. Says the cold water plunge has multiple health benefits. I figure so does a swim in a temperature climate controlled indoor pool with a lesser risk of coronary events.

The toe puns cut deep to my sole.

Winter continues... I'm still trying to get used to the weather pattern here. They say we have four seasons. They lied! We only have too! Winter and Almost Summer! :well1:

Currently it is 50F, up from 25F and heading for 61F. The winds have already picked up, coming for the SW @ 8 to 13mph.

I was dragging my feet to order more gravel & drain pipe, but I decided, what the heck, it's just money, so I went and ordered 20 more yards of gravel (@$700+) and bought another 100' of drain pipe. This will allow me to finish the area around the tractor shed. And that solar panel to keep the tractor charged, is questionable, if I'm going to use it, instead of just running power out to the shed. At least if I run the power out there, it will charge/maintain 24/7, and not, just when the Sun is out! :think1:

Good afternoon, Well, Wifes Cataract surgery went well. I get to torment her for awhile by putting drops in her eye. Okay I have a sick sense of humor. 47F Drizzling ,4mph wind, humidity 82%. Nothing else planned . Thanks All, G
