Yes, it's already Thursday. The Dark Italian Roast is ready, some Vanilla Brioche too. Help ya'selves.
23 to 34, 19 mph from the W and blue skies. Pretty but brrrrrr.
The sensors were changed on the little un yesterday and the aux drive belt. All good for now. But will it last?
Probably not.
If this doesn't work I might try to source someone who can turn off the EML permanently in relation to the Bank 1 fault. We'll wait and see I spose. An EML light is an MOT test failure here. In fact any warning light is. Crackers but true.
Today will be spent at Alnwick upon the Aln where indoors has a dental appointment and I haven't. Other stuff will get done too.
Remember your eye drops.
Av a gud un and remember, it's cold out.
Upt.

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the Italian Dark Ray, and for the brioche too.

It's 40°F in Rockville, but feels like 27 thanks to a combination of breeze and humidity from yesterday evening's brief but heavy downpour. We expect a high of just 48- quite a contrast to the past few days- with a small chance of scattered showers around 1500 hours.

Listening to the prognosticators speaking about a chance of as much as a foot of snow in western MD tomorrow spooked me. I was due to drive to Cincinnati tomorrow for a birthday party on Saturday evening but have no interest in driving through a winter storm in the mountains, so I've bumped my departure up by a day and will hit the road in a couple hours. I could probably go even sooner, but I'm waiting for the gas station and Starbucks to open, so as to be able to start the trip with full tanks of all vital fluids.

Goof yesterday was acceptable- not great but not miserable either, from an outcome perspective at least. It was a lovely day and I had congenial playing companions, though, so the scorecard didn't really matter in the way it sometimes does. At the very least, it was the third not terrible round in a row, a welcome change after struggles in all of October and the first half of November.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

G'Day...

5°C, only partially cloudy, hence a genuine lava sunrise to observe... won't warm up much during the day though...

some days are like:

Screenshot_20240928-061918.png

we have a large format plotter at the office, Canon TM-350, 36 inch, building blueprints, etc... inkjet type...

For weeks it complains with annoying screen popups that the C M & Y cartridges are low level... (already replaced the black ones some time ago...)

Over night it finally snapped, blinking error message: C M Y empty...

Alright, I grab the refills, try to install/replace them... C ok, Y ok, ... M won't fit into the slot... dafuq?!
White nylon frame has a tooting code, compare it with the old kit: wrong slotting...
I grab a japan knife to "re-code", it now slides into the slot, CPU informs: wrong cartridge... dafuq II?!

Sooo... I removed the nylon frame plus the little chip inside the black plastic from the old tank, and swapped them with the ones of the brand new one...

Threw that one into the machine... whirrrrr... dzzz-dzzz... zigzigzig... whirrrr... its aliiiiivvvvveeeeeeehhhhh....

Great, we can print again... and where did 25 minutes of my life just go?!

Someone in Japan had too much Sake and placed the wrong thingy on the Magenta tank... :censored:

By then my trusty 3in1 instant coffee has gotten cold... yuch... :censored::censored:

Thurzday?
Yeah, it happened...
Thank you, Raymond for a lovely roast of caffeine this morning.
All good in Bahama after night winds and some blowiness passed over us.
Today is lookin' gud!

Might do some maint on the '78 today.
It was of course planned, but not executed yesterday due to another shiny object catching my attention.
Now I'm tracing some wiring for a friend's John Deere that won't start.
I hope it's not ground critters chewing things.
'Could be low on blinker fluid.

Wow! Thanksgiving is next week already.
2024 is slipping into darkness.
Still lots to do here on the ranch...

Ray - what's EML? Engine Misfire?

Y'all have a winderfill day!

I need to do shopping over the next few days to pick up some gifts and get them sent out. our high for the day should see 81F. enjoy the day
stay safe

Thanks for the coffee, Ray.

Egad. I'm up early. One bathroom here at the house. Wife in it. No sign of her coming out or me going in. Help.

It's crispy cold out. 38 degrees. Supposed to get up to 69 degrees. We'll see.

My Ukraine programmer finally checked in. Relieved. I thought a missile had found him.

Glad to have my ST family. Life is good.

Have a blessed day!

@STooRay - ain't no more swimmin' there for awhile!
Ya think?
Those Vikings celebrate some odd hobbies...

Good morning, all. Italian Roast and brioche will hit the spot nicely...thank you, Ray!

It's another mild-for-late-November morning at 7°C/45°F, but the high will only be a degree higher, at 8°C/46°F. Slight windchill is cooling things down by a couple of degrees. It may be mild, but it's certainly Novemberish out there: cloudy, grey, drab, bare trees, meh. The rain will start falling shortly, if it hasn't already, and it looks like it will rain for the rest of the day, through the night and for most of the day tomorrow. So far, it looks like we'll have decent weather for Sunday's hike...trails might be a tad soggy, though.

Sigh...well, I'm off to the dungeons. Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Morning all, and thanks for the coffee, Ray.

6C here and cloudy, headed to 7C.

Survived yesterday's road trip. I now have Thing2's car, which I dropped off at the dealer this morning for it's biannual inspection. Just need to wait and see what they find, and what kind of damage the bank account will incur. Hopefully it's minor, and the work gets finished today. Assuming it all goes to plan there's another 1000km happening this weekend to return the car, but it will be spread over 2 days with a hotel stop Saturday night. I also heard a rumour I'll be attending a dance recital Saturday night that Thing2 is in. Lucky lucky me.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Ray

I left the hotel to a slight mist this morning, but the weather guessers predict that it will rain harder, later.
They say around 10:00am in Boston, so we should see it around 9:00-ish here.
It's 45, currently, and we won't get to 50.

Yesterday's visit to the Opthamologist went well, and I'll be putting eye drops in my eyes for the next few weeks.
I'll see him again, so to speak, next Tuesday.
Vision is good enough that I'm able to get around without glasses, except for reading.
The Dr said no strenious exercise, but walking is acceptable. So the neighbor's dog and I did a little over 4 miles...

Today, I'll head to the gym, where I'll take advantage of their treadmill.

Enjoy the day,
Steve
