OK, today's pot in honor of Black Friday is "Hot n' Black" from Leroy's Farm Store.
He says it sits so long, it even thickens a little!
Personally I kinda like it! Youse can add water if you like.

Today of course is the coveted eating day in USA with friends and family.
Celebrating country, love and life we are!
My lovely wife and I will be headed to my friend's house for chow with his family and friends.
He's the one with the machine shop so I'm sure the ham and turkey will be trimmed to perfection!

Yesterday's tractor follies ended very successfully, but as in most cases, we ended up repairing more than bargained for.
Imagine your Dr saying; "while we were in there..."!
New blades and some other stuff and my friend is now ready to mow all the fields in Bahama!
Yayyy!

Anyway, Y'all have a Winterfill day!

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the tractor sludge Nick. Notes of engine oil, transmission fluid, and hydraulic oil. Got some DOT4 brake fluid to thin it or should I go with No. 2 fuel oil?

It's 46°F and cloudy in Charlottesville where morning rain should give way to afternoon clouds as the temperature rises toward 60.

Dinner at our niece's in-laws' is the plan. Before that, light refreshments and of course coffee here. And of course a new part of my morning routine, ukulele practice. I'll be merciful and sequester myself for that.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them.

good morning all and a Happy Thanksgiving to all that par take in that holiday. thank you Nick for the coffee. I'll see if I can get a spoon to stand up in it.
53F on the dog walk with a complete cloud cover. did not see one star. real bummer but the clouds should get their time up front too I guess.
today we go up town for lunch at a church that puts on a great meal. best part is sit, eat leave with no left overs and no clean up to do. this will be, I believe the 4th time we have been there. high should be 71F enjoy the day

stay safe

I'll have a hot long and black, ta me duck.
Thanksgiving you say? Really?
Av a gud un.
Yesterday came and went, today will too, but hopefully a little more slowly.
Yesterday afternoon was spent putting the world back in shape with neighbours for a few hours, now if the world leaders just take our conclusions on board all will be good in the universe. It was simple.
I think governments over complicate issues.
If us bunch of halfwits can solve world issues with a glass of red and a pound of Cuddy's Cove it can't be that hard. Although in all fairness it was probably more than one glass. Pffffffftttttt.
It's cold and frosty out there but no sign of yesterdays winteryness yet. Fresh snow above 2000 foots.
Av a gud un and remember, you're gonna need some sauce.
Upt.

I'll see you there Keith.
We meet Wednesday evenings at 6.45pm in The Angel Pub, Wooler. Come along and listen or have a go. Ring if you haven’t got a ukulele and we will bring a spare one along for you to try. 01668283488. You will be very welcome.
By10.45 pm everyone sounds very professional.

Thx Nick!
Eeeeh the coffee brand name was greyed out by my browser filter, it’s set to filter out explisit material and pictures.

Anyway, happy thanksgiving!
That’s a tradition we could need over here.

5˚c/42f, calm, sunny, what’s going on?

Been for a walk, unsupervised until late….

Yesterdays shouldhaves became couldhaves.

@Weaselinsuit https://www.apple.com/airpods-pro/hearing-health/. Santa needs a pair too. Last year I said I wished for a new bmw boxer motorcycle, but I got boxer shorts instead…

Have a good and tasty one!
Stu

Colors/colours came back yesterday, sun for twenty minutes, then rain again. I got soaked….pfffft!

Morning all, and thanks for the liquid black grits, Nick.

Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends, or as we Canadian's like to call it, "Thursday."

-2C here and there was a sliver of moon and stars mixed with a few wispy clouds upon leaving the house. By the time I got to work it was even darker with the sky amass of black waves of clouds billowed upon the next. No sky to be seen, foreboding of the impending weather doom that approaches. Rain, transitioning to snow they say, with a snowfall warning of 15-20cm. We'll wait and see. High today may reach 6C which should deter the snow until it cools later on.

After work I'm going for my 2nd shingles jab. I'm overdue as I had my 1st one in January, and forgot about the 2nd. Hoping I don't have the bad reaction I did to my 1st jab. Normally the jabs don't bother me, but the the last shingles one certainly did.

Hope you all have a great day and avoid the miserable pricks.

Obo.

Keith, I hope this inspires you to greatness!

Yeah I've seen that video. He started playing at something like age 12 so, despite his tender years, he's got a huge head start on me.

There's also James Hill, to demonstrate true virtuoso skill.

G'Day...

9°C, slight overcast which lit up massively during the sunrise, fiery skies, like the planet got engulfed in a solar flare... humbling...
2 minutes later the spectacle was over and replaced with shades of dull gray...

living inland, not having migrating ancestors nor forefathers wearing tall hats with belt-buckles at the front, we don't really celebrate that 28th...

Hence a happy Thursday to everyone and a PPE reminder to our 'merricans:

ATGATT and that...

have a great day everyone
(I got me some Pepto Bismol shares... methinks their turnover will see a massive increase over the holidays... ;) )

Good morning, all, and thanks for the nearly solid coffee and musical entertainment, Nick. I've heard Jake Shimabukuro play a few times - always leaves me in awe.
Happy Thanksgiving, USA!

The weather today will be a symphony of rain, mixed rain and snow, and snow. I doubt any of it will stick very long, but the snow will start falling harder and more frequently pretty soon. Suffice it to say that today will be grey, cloudy, damp and cold. We're already hovering around the predicted high of 4°C/39°F with a feels-like of 1°C/34°F.

I have a few things to prepare for today, so I'll be moseying along. Everybody have a great day, travel safely, give thanks and don't gobble everything up...leave some for the other guests. Urp.

Patty

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Nick.

Happy Thanksgiving to our US friends.
Happy Thursday to those of you living elsewhere...

It's spritzing here in MA right now, with a temp of 36
We'll have on and off rain most of the day, and the temperature should rise to 41.
Any snow is north and west of us.

I managed a 4 mile walk, yesterday, without the dog, and Brenda had a short day at work.
She was even in and out of the grocery store without any issues.
She went on to Joe and Megan's to help prepare for today's meal and gathering, while I stayed back.
Freya needed to be fed, last night and this morning.

I'll head over to Joe and Megan's place in a bit.
I need to prepare Freya's automatic feeder, and pack a few things, first.
The TV folks reported a roll-over on the off ramp to Rt.128, and hopefully, it'll be cleared before I get there.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Happy Thanksgiving to y'all, and even if you don't formally celebrate this day, perhaps we can agree that we all have something to be grateful for.

Ok, I'll start. I'm grateful i have my own Black Rifle ⚫️ coffee to drink, and don't have to imbibe Nick's highly questionable and dubious tractorized drippings and drainings. While I appreciate Nick setting the table (or kitchen counter) for us on a regular / occasional basis, I've never met the man and I'm not sure when he's kidding.

But some here know me, and recognize that I'm always deadly serious and i never joke around. With the possible exception of when it comes to drinking coffee. Some things in life are not to be trifled with.

I don't care what the weather is, because we'll be driving in the car to Montgomery (~100 miles) for lunch with one of Roz' friends whom she's known since first grade. I can't even relate, having moved as much as I have. But Beth and Tom are good people.

Back to work tomorrow, then another drive to Montgomery to watch the Alabama - Auburn football game, the traditional in- state rivalry. Everyone there but me will be an Auburn fan, and Alabama has had a very inconsistent season, so there's no telling who will prevail. Either way, it's entertainment, so I'm not invested in it overmuch.

Spent some time on ADVrider in the thread "Show us your man cave", looking for ideas on garage gear or setup. Some are really dreamy, too. I had to put on my anti-envy goggles before entering. Like going to the bike dealer, right?

"Can I help you find anything today, sir?"

Nah. Just browsing.

Morning all! It's a chilly day here at 0C. The high will be 6C with a mixed bag weather wise; sun, cloud and rain.

Stoo, thanks for the link, now I know what to ask Santa for!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone south of the border!

Obo, thanks for the reminder, I need to book my second shingles jab as well as I'm butting up against the end of the recommended time range for it as well. Hee hee....jab....butt....

Hope everyone has a great day!

There's not really an "oops-you're-too-late-so-start-again" time, but there is a minimum time between shots. The goal is you need both shots for the full effect, and until you get the 2nd, it's not really effective.

Similar to a motorcycle with only 1 wheel.

It's been clinically proven monocycles don't protect from shingles.

Good morning - Happy Turkey Day to our southern neighbour's - unless you’re a turkey!
It’s way too late if you are!

I’ll have a cup o sludge Nick!
Thanks for putting on the spread!
We have “a snow event!” When did it change from just being a snow storm!
As Ray would comment, Pffffft!
We have a lot of packing to accomplish, then the migration starts Sunday.
I’ll do my best to check in on the carrying on here.
