Terry 'ACL' Hammond (11/19/2010)

Re: Terry 'ACL' Remembered

I just called them and signed up for 3 years and made sure they knew it was because of the article and the good way they are treating us in regards to letting us see just the article in PDF - class act :bow1:

That's what makes the world go around, Dan!!!

We've only got about 50 dozens shots of the big lug, that shot of him with his "Little Debbie" bike at the store is a favorite.

Well, if he asked specifically for no photos of him, maybe crop one of the Debbie pics to inclued Terry's shoulder. :):D
After all, he was, among so many other things, a shoulder for me.

Thanks also to Mark for that kind offer.
(Mark asked me for my OK, which shows he respects writers, and now he's giving it away free, which shows he respects motorcyclists. )

Well, he is a Tuttle after all. Thanks for the great story Scott.

Thanks.... a wonderful tribute to Terry

Most excellent job, Bones! Thanks for telling the story. And a big thanks to you and Mark for allowing the article to be shared.

I'll not comment.
Thank you Bones. We needed just a bit of closure.
You helped us along our way.
We will get there.....Terry is lighting the way.

Bones, your article and the willingness of the editor of Rider has resulted in me subscribing to rider for two years.

Just thought you'd want to know

Sal

I am simply stunned....

I haven't been online as much lately, as work has intruded too much on my leisure time. I cannot adequately express the sense of loss. I only met Terry once, at the Hutchinson, KS BBQ ride last year. But, he is so much a part of this venue that I frankly cannot even imagine this site without him.

I read the article in this month's RIDER magazine a couple of days ago, with a vicarious sense of pride, knowing that it was our friend Terry who started the Moonshine ride. Little did I know that as I read, Terry was already gone.

Go with God my friend. You lived an honest and joyous life and I have been blessed to have crossed your path. My heart tugs for your family and I will lift them up in my prayers.

Steve

Got my Rider magazine yesterday and what a bittersweet article... It was a wonderful tribute, unknownly, of Terry and his iconic Moonshine. Then to see a mention of my friend Bob from Santa Maria just capped it. A sigh exhaled and a saved copy for the future...
