Terry 'ACL' Hammond (11/19/2010)

Re: Terry 'ACL' Remembered

I'm mixed on this one. I reckon I'll go to the store and purchase a copy anyway. Would be nice for Rider & Co. to see a jump in sales due to Terry and for Scott's efforts.

Thanks Tim Y!

No worries, Jeff. Mark asked me if I was OK with the idea (of course I was) and I am certain he thinks this is not about selling magazines. Mark is a motorcycle guy, too.

I just shot him a note of thanks and rcv'd a copy in response.
I really don't think I should have read it at work :(

Thanks Bones:bow1:

I have just received a PDF and forwarded it to Kevin Lechner to prepare for posting, hopefully w/ pic's.

I also ordered 5 @ copies directly from Rider, so I could have copies to give Cindy & Terry's sisters.

I can't say enough about Riders magazine : Mark Tuttle the Editor, Bones the scribe/author, and everyone there that I've corresponded with.

I also plan to subscribe to their magazine

I just now saw the post #485 by Bones, so everyone can access the article from his link above. Thanks Bones & Rider Mag.

Many thanks to those who have made the article available where it might otherwise not be :bow1:

Bones, nice work :bow1:

Take care out there, all of you.

Many thanks to all for all the helpful acts and gifts! Re: Rider... having been a subscriber for-nearly-ever, I have to say they put out a good solid publication and seem to be one of the nicest bunch. Certainly have gone up in the publishing of our esteemed scribe's work!

Living here in La Veta, CO, ya'll probably think it's like a suburb of Denver or a town of many thousands... nope... it's tiny; only about a couple of dozen riders out of the 800 or so residents... so, what I'm sayin' is I still haven't gotten my Rider yet!! :( So an even bigger THANK YOU for the PDF!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm gonna go read it and cry myself to sleep (Nap-time for us old GEEZERS!). So before reading it I already know how much it will affect me and how grateful I'll be to Bones for having the foresight to get 'er done!!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you,
Rod

U Da MAN!!! Thanks from the bottom of my heart

Definitely, most definitely . . . a really nice piece of work Bones.

Mark Twain would be proud to shake your hand at his birthday party today, but alas, he is gone too.

Curt,
I have chased down the tape that had Terry's singing of the song and attempting to make CD copies. And then Kevin on the MTF is going to try to make a copy that we can post a link to so everyone can hear what we heard at the service.
Tim

Thanks for doing the legwork on this Tim. I was interested in this also... :bow1:

I appreciate the accolades, everyone, but Terry's the story...I'm just the storyteller.

Does this sound like anyone else we know? Your modesty is a fitting tribute to Terry. He wouldn't take credit for his work either. I thank you. :bow1:

I just called them and signed up for 3 years and made sure they knew it was because of the article and the good way they are treating us in regards to letting us see just the article in PDF - class act :bow1:
