Terry 'ACL' Hammond (11/19/2010)

I am in just total shock, like I'm sure many of you are!

I have never had a chance to meet him and even had thoughts of riding out to have a MoonBurger because of him!

He has been so much of ST-Owners.com since I've been here! He's the one that started the "I can't break into the top 50 of the riders mileage and I have really enjoy his comments and threads.

I am truly saddened...

May the Lord bless his family and all of his friends there and here on the site, with comfort, knowing that his is in good hands!

Wow...just really hard to believe!

OMG. I'm...I just...I'm sorry, there are no words. I'm so sorry.
My thoughts are with Cindy and Terry's immediate family and loved ones...and to everyone whose lives he touched, including mine, and I hadn't even met him yet.
This is so awful. I just can't believe it. I'm so sorry.
Godspeed, Terry.

Patty

Does Cindy/the family need anything... I'm not sure what I can do (I'm leaving for the west coast in the wee hours of the morning), but I'll do what I can when I get back... :banghead: :pray1: :banghead: :pray1: I find myself alternating like that...

This is terrible news. The one time I met him, he struck me as one of those just plain good folks. He will be missed. Godspeed Terry, and condolences to his family...

wow, this is so sad, so shocking. You could always depend on reading something on the board by Terry... and he was always having fun with it, whatever it was.

Hard to believe he's gone...

I'm sure if they need anything from us we'll jump to it... it hasn't been even 12 hrs since this happened as he was on the site around noon from looking at his profile.. that could be off by an hr or two..

The family is surely in shock like the rest of us so they'll need some time to figure things out.

I don't know who is considered close friends of the family but I'll post any needs here as soon as I get any info or it's provided to me.

Thanks for the offer... Have a safe trip, Terry would want that for you and the rest of us.

I can't believe this news. I feel a great sadness even though I never met Terry in person. Actually I was hoping to one day, on this side however.

I feel like I knew him through our interactions here on the site and think we would have gotten on well.

God bless and keep you Terry. And I pray he will look after your family and give them peace.

Our family is indeed missing a huge part of what made it whole.

Ride free and ride long friend.

I've been sitting here reading all these posts, trying to think of a way to express the way I feel about our loss. When I came upon this post, I realized I couldn't have said it better myself. After the first half-dozen or so threads/replies posted by Terry that I saw on this forum, I felt as if he was a close friend - someone I really looked forward to meeting some day. We're all going to miss ACL ...

This is so sad.Now I'm really glad I got to meet to this gentleman at Moonshine this year and had my great Moonshine moment with him. Godspeed ACL.

I knew him mostly by his posts on the forum and the only thing I can say is he will be missed by all and my thoughts go out to his family

Shock....

My loss for not having met Terry in person.

RIP Terry. My prayers for your family and your close friends here in this time of grieving. :pray1:
