Terry 'ACL' Hammond (11/19/2010)

Terry was one of those rare people who could make everyone around him feel like they were special. We have all lost a brother!!

Coop you have said it well.

We first met Terry at LDDave's annual BBQ in Lockhart Texas last Jan., talked with him for a short time and he invited us up to Moonshine for a hamburger. (What?) He then departed and rode to AZ. Many threads later we did make it to Moonshine and even stayed at the farm. What a man. One of my Heroes.

What a loss, we will miss him..................

Just now seeing this...can't believe it.

Terry was definitely one of the good guys. I had the pleasure to speak with Terry many times at various RTE's around the country - I'm going to miss his enthusiastic and friendly demeanor. Terry always had a story to tell that made people smile and laugh.

God rest his soul.

WOW,
Met Terry for the first time this year at Moonshine. He was REALLY special guy. ST forrum won't be the same without Him.
God Bless Him and his family.

Will miss such a great Man! It was as if he had known me my entire life just meeting him for the first time back in April. Then being over at his shop this past weekend was such a great day and again it was like I was no stranger and he welcomed me right into his house. Thanks Terry for being an example of what we all should be. My prayers go out to all his family.

I just can't believe it!!!

So sorry to hear this..

Being new here, I feel like I missed out on on something good .

My condolences to his loved ones.

Just got the call from 4jranch...I feel like I've just been punched in the chest...

TrekkerDave said it best...."Terry made everyone feel special"

I've talked with Terry at half a dozen or so gatherings....and he always made me feel like we'd been friends for many years....don't know how he did it... My heart aches for his family as well as the Casey community...

:pray1::pray1::pray1::pray1: Many prayers for Terry's family during this incredibly tough time.

My pillion pegs will remain lowered for Terry.....:TiWing1:

Terry, may your roads be twisty and your engine run strong...Rest in peace my brother,,,,,

EDIT: It's 9pm now here at Lackland AFB and I'm listening to TAPS playing outside.....this one is for you Terry....:pray1:

I know I have posted this image before ... But a little background ... My daughter Aeryn, aka LittleSTcatt, at the time this photo was taken did not generally warm up to new people quickly. To get a smile from her then, if you weren't immediate family was unheard of, let alone her allowing someone 'unknown' hold her. Then, after not so patiently waiting through the Moonshine line, and waiting as her parents downed a moonburger, she was thrust into the hands of some strange person standing on a porch.

She instantly warmed to him, and pulled the 50/50 ticket with no real prompting ... Hence the reason he was adopted as 'Unca Terry' ...

I look forward to the day I get to explain this story to her, and wish that he would be able to tell it to her himself ...
