Terry 'ACL' Hammond (11/19/2010)

My wife & I had the pleasure of spending a day with Terry last summer riding out of Catamount Lodge in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. (Bob Hostetter of the Concours Board arranged the lodging; he is the one in the attached pics with Terry) We had a great time riding up to Bolt Castle and hearing his stories of how he got the name "Relentless" that is on his ST & how the "Austin City Limits" screen name came about. It was evident on how big a heart he had and ironic that his heart is what gave out on him. We will always cherish the memories & want to extend our sincerest condolences to his family.

When you have time please share those stories with those of us that don't know them. Here is the thread line for ACL stories.

I don't know what to say other than I feel fortunate to have met Terry. The world was a better place with him in it. God bless his family and friends.

This is my first post since Sally called. This took me totally by shock as I am sure it did most of us.

I feel sorry for us, that sounds terrible but to anyone who ever met Terry knows he was a great guy and friend. I feel short changed that I didn't get to do more with him.

I knew Terry pretty well and I am one of the lucky ones.

Terry and Putt and in for the longest ride of their lives and their greatest challenge EVER watching over us. Godspeed you guys we will all get to ride together again someday.

Danny.

Thank you for the pics Carole and everyone, we are all thinking of you guys... thanks for representing and get home safe!

I never meet Terry and yet I felt a deep saddness hearing of his passing. For a person to leave that strong an impression just by his posts on this site is amazing. My deepest sympathies to family and friends.

Been away from the site a few days, am in shock like so many others at this news. Had the pleasure of meeting Terry and his family and enjoying his hospitality just 10 days ago at the Post-Post Moonshine run. This site in particular and the world in general will not be the same without him.

I only knew Terry from the forum and didn't get the chance to meet him personally, but I will miss him dearly!

Jody called me earlier and stated Cindy said if was okay if anyone wanted to stop by the shop toeday 11/23.
