Looking at the instructions I received with my Heli-Bars, they state that the steering stem plug from a 1998 VFR800 will fit the ST1100 steering stem hole. Honda part No. 53232-MJ4-670. I didn't order one, but probably should have.
Got mine back in 07 from Zanotti Motor Co. Part number 95020-11300. It is a polished chrome steering stem nut. Has been used on numerous Hondas throughout the years. Lists around $15, I paid $9.15.
That's my problem now , every thing is on showI have one on one of my 1100s and a spare. I can't seem to lay my hands on it. There was a thread many moons ago. I'll give it another look around tomorrow. It's in the little Honda plastic bag with the part number on it. I lost a lot of part numbers and off the wall information a few years ago when my computer crashed.
With Heli-Bars it looks nicer than the standard part but the washer underneath it isn't chrome or stainless steel. I was going to get a stainless steel on and try polishing it up but ... The ugly stock stuff was probably because it was all under the plastic handle bar cover.![]()
Didn't the folks use the cut bottom of a 35mm canister to cover that threaded stem back in the day? With Heli-Bars it looks nicer than the standard part but the washer underneath it isn't chrome or stainless steel.
Thanks, not quite what i had in mind. I've just had a set of billet yokes made for the bike so would like a nice top nut
I wasn't suggesting this as an option for you- Not very nice in my opinion. I was just explaining to you what was meant. Thanks, not quite what i had in mind. I've just had a set of billet yokes made for the bike so would like a nice top nut
