For Loan ST1300 Swingarm Locknut Tool

I have the swingarm locknut tool (part #07ZMA-MCAA101 in the shop manual) available for loan to forum members. This is the cylindrical spanner that is used on the swingarm to remove or replace and torque the left pivot bolt locknut.

This tool allows you to hold the 19mm allen bolt in place while setting the proper torque on the locknut. I also have a 19mm allen socket that will fit inside the locknut tool, and (thanks to ST-Traveler) a six inch long 1/2" drive extension. You'll need a torque wrench capable of 72 lb-ft. (The right side pivot bolt calls for 80 lb-ft.)

There's no cost to borrow the tool. PM me if you need it, and I'll ship it to you. Send it back with payment for my shipping costs as soon as you're finished, and I'll put it back in the tool chest until someone else needs it.
Hi Roginoz,
I may need to take you up on this, if it's still available. I'll know more after analyzing, and any tips you have is very welcome.
Please let me know, is available and thanks in advance! I'm in Eliot, Maine on the coast. 06 ST with 90 k miles.

Not sure he is still very active here, hasn't posted in over a year.

Maybe some useful info here?

Looking to see who might have this swing arm removal tool.... I am looking to find one to work on my 2006 ST. Let me know the whereabouts and availability, that would helpful as heck.
Thanks
Jim S

You can buy them online, there's a British maker selling them for 15 pounds, they say they'll ship international.

I've also seen some on ebay, but I don't know if I'd trust them. Most the no name tools I buy from ebay or Amazon are made of butter.

Maybe try to PM John.
