St1100 preferred windshield height

Hi all just interested as mine has just broke in your thoughts on preferred screen height on the st1100s . The care beauties
Over 50 years ago a seasoned rider said that the best height has you looking at top edge of the shield and spotting the road about 30 ft in front of the bike. Still seems to work for numerous bikes and riders.

Lovely Aulia thanks for that

I had a PowerBronze (UK) screen which had the nostrils and a flip-up lip - like the original - but it was a good bit taller (5 inches I think). I was 6'3" at the time. (I'm shrinking !!)

Link showing the +3 and +5 inch models . They appear to be still available.

[edit] found an old photo of it on my old ST1100AY with the powerbronze +5 fitted.

I like it so that I can see over the top, but the airflow is directed over the top of my helmet. The screen flip-up does that.
It resulted in a screen riding position which I also have on my ST1300 - see avatar. Looking over screen. Flip up pushes airflow over my head. The original screen doesn't do that on the 1300. If I look over the screen, the air goes straight into my face. I don't often ride with visor down.
Nice pic man bikes looking good thanks for the tips !

I am 6.1 and cut the windshield,
so no more wind turbulence sound.
That works best for me.
Most of the time i ride with the cut windshield.

Welcome Danny from Northumberland, England.
Nice looking 1100 in Tasmania Green. Definitely the fastest colour.
We had a couple of stops in Belgium this year, Ghent and Tournai. Nice country.
Upt.

When I had my 1100, I had three windshields and I'd switch them out based on season and/or expected weather conditions. One was OEM, one Givi, and one Clearview IIRC. Now I have a 1300 and just push a button ;). On my SV650, I have a universal adjustable Givi screen.
