Re: ST1100 Clutch R&R - Detailed Pics

FWIW, where did you order your clutch plates and springs from? I'm seeing a price of about $180 for it all through Service Honda, and I couldn't find the springs' part number.

Good job, Thane. My 2 STs have _almost_ as much mileage combined as your one. :D

Fixed up the pictures. For some reason they weren't linking properly. Should work now.

Ooops, must not have seen the post above asking where I ordered the parts. I ordered them from my local dealer. I support them as much as I can. I don't remember the price. I probably don't want to know.

Re: ST1100-Clutch R&R - Detailed Pics

Hey guys... I'm getting ready to tackle this on my 97. Mileage is low (below 30k), but the clutch feel sloppy, like the spring isn't pushing the clutch back together when the clutch is released. I'll get some chattering when the bike is cold as well, the first time I release the clutch after shifting into gear.

Question is, what parts do I need? I'm looking at the clutch blowout diagram on cycleparts.com, and there are a ton of parts there, not sure I need everything. I guess I could tear down and wait on parts, but I thought I'd try and get a jump so I had what I needed on hand.

Thanks in advance for the assistance!
Tim

how hard is it to change the belt? I have 117000miles and am not sure if it has been changed. My clutch seems OK but growles a little, could it be my oil?

Thanks for the post- im a long ways off at 45k on my '10, but good to see the guts, and what im in for down the road.
