Soosterday Coffee

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Dave. it was needed after the dog walk. cold wind came back with thick cloud cover and some vary light rain. the moon couldn't shine though the clouds. it was just a fuzzy looking dot behind the clouds. It was only 49F but felt a lot colder. but as always it was a good walk.
yesterday was my wife's birthday so we are going to Chinese tonight with her sister and BIL. the high should be 69F enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee and funnies, Dave

It's 54 and partly cloudy this morning, becoming sunny and rising to 80, later

I got to the gym, yesterday, and walked a little over 5 miles with the neighbor's pup. There were plenty of others on the trail, since it was such a nice day.

I'll be at the track in Thompson, CT for the day, flagging a COMSCC event.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Thx Dave, hahaha!

10˚c/50f, sunny, 35mph coooold wind from the north .

Some rust removal, priming and painting on my sons car.

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the coffee, Dave.

65, and breezy, gusts to 35. Then partly cloudy and 86 for the afternoon. Teddy wants to visit the garden center at Lowe’s to pick out some new shrubbery for his bathroom remodel. Might be a good time to pick up some new boards to replace the deck steps.

I’ve been invaded by hundreds of small brown beetles, under my security light, covering the sidewalk and part of the driveway to the point that you can’t walk, without stepping on them. But, as soon as it gets light out, the mockingbirds clean up the mess, leaving only the wings. Then they’ll disappear until tomorrow night.

G'Day

8°/18°C today, partially cloudy...

Needed 2 cups as bump-start this morning... :coffee::coffee:

Yeah, gardening season starts...
Mowed the lot, fixed some 5 meters railing at the property boundary behind the house, so the suicidal mower robot can't hurl himself off that cliff there...

Tried to give the irrigation pump a go, but no avail; the casing of the darn flow-switch/protection has decided to give in over the winter (odd since I'd purged all plus blown through with compressed air)...
Good thing it wasn't plugged it in yet (noted it while priming pipes, filter and casing with city water), as the crack is hidden right behind the PCB inside, flooding the entire housing...

IMG_20250419_134733.jpg

Fancy thing is running without any direct mechanical connection, just two reed-switches sensing the magnets inside...
Dropped an email to the distributor, they already acknowledged, will get an offer next week...
(hardware stores have only some Einhell, starting at about € 70,-... )

GF still outside picking weeds, relocating blooming things, planting some veggies... (and complaining about snails :roflmao:)

Guess I'll get the robot online...

cheers!

G'mornin' from Fla! To be woken up by my own bladder instead of some other dependent creatures' is a lost delicacy! I do miss them, but not this part!

Ahhhhhh...some delicious coffee, 75F/24C and light breeze, quiet back porch sitting, and no responsibilities at the moment. I could get used to this if it didn't come with the never-ending conspiratorial rantings of an old woman. I do not envy her and certainly hope that when it is my time I'm not left to fear the coming of the end on my own and be too feeble to enjoy life until such end comes. As Keith always notes, tell ppl you love them...you don't know when the next time will come. We love her dearly and she means well, but boy she makes it hard sometimes! Given the option, I am resolved to try and not be an old PITA when I get close.

Nothing on the agenda today. Maybe do some power washing and cook up some food for the MIL to enjoy after we leave. I hear I can make some darn good salt-free baked salmon and turkey meatballs (blech!). Might check over her car too as the transmission isnt working as smooth as it should. Wife wants to go to the pool but that'll be later. For now, I'll just enjoy the ahhhhhh. Take care y'all!

Good morning, I'm back home, yesterday was a good day stomach finally feeling okay. Wife and I took Princess and Precious for a long walk at The resort, pups slept the rest of the day. Got home at midnight, straight to bed after unpacking. Thanks Dave for coffee and Funnies, much needed. Windy 45 F and Sunny turns partly cloudy this afternoon. Have a good one,G

Good morning everyone

Thanks for the GMD Dave.

It's 66°F in Lansdale PA. The weather app says sunny, my eyes say cloudy. I'll stick with what my eyes tell me, for now at least. The high may reach 83.

It's cleanup / clean out time at my SIL's house so we'll start sorting stuff to be hauled away and separating it from stuff to be kept but rearranged.

She's still in a boundary dispute with a neighbor, and is obsessing over that issue. Her current claim is that he has actually moved the survey post that was put in place some months ago. Not having been here to see where it was I cannot judge.

One task on my list is to put up some surveillance cameras, if she gets off the dime and acquires them in time, before we leave on Thursday. Her record of timeliness is not good so I'd give it about a 5 percent chance of happening.

Mrs. Fun has already asked if I would be willing to stay longer, to which I answered with a hard NO. I have stuff on my calendar and other things that need doing at home, waiting for my return.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Morning Dave & All, from sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 41F, up from 25F and heading for 54F. We have a slight breeze, but later, we'll see the winds out of the N@ 10 to 16mph.

We had a cold day yesterday, and got a couple of inches of snow. Most of which is already gone, except in the mountains!

I'm still recovering from the work out in the front, but I might get around to working on the bike again. It would be great if I could get it on the road before I have to drive up to Montana next month.

Eggs, bacon, toast & OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) to come later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:
