Sea to Sea to Sea

Not trying to steal any thunder from Will, but when I left him yesterday his goal was to get to Fort Liard. I see he turned off and didn’t go that way, I’m guessing he ran into some bad weather. I just checked the weather for Whitehorse, where he is now, and it’s raining all nite tonite and well into tomorrow. The app doesn’t show what happened in the last 24 hrs but I suspect that’s what it is, cuz the storm that’s over him now is dumping 1-2.5 in of rain as well as unseasonably cold temps. Hunker down, Will.

Will and I got along really well, a few stories and experiences were shared and we both came off better for the experience, I certainly did anyway. Really good guy Will is. Go hard there, Will, and I hope your journey continues successfully!

It was great all around Art, enjoyed every bit.

Yea, the Fort Liard part… navigation error. I put in the Liard Hot Springs and didn’t look to see where it went. I saw sign for FT Liard and thought it must be a back way. Boy was I surprised when I landed in Liard instead. Hot springs were fantastic so nothing but a spot on a map missed.
Hope to see you at one of these STOC events and get that other ST back together

And it rained all day today, yuk.

Sailing along nicely, got my sea legs a few days ago and put some miles in. Lots of rain the last few days as well. I’ve put the tent away wet 4 of the 5 nights. It rained all last night too.

Not good cell service for loading what few pictures I have. The sky’s have been gray so I can see there is great scenery, but can’t really see it. Those of you that have been through this route know it’s gorgeous.

im slightly ahead of schedule for my swimming appointment, I’ll drag my feet a bit this morning and maybe tomorrow.Only one dead battery a few days ago when I left the key on. “Restart” to the rescue and now I’m paying attention. Bike is great, tires great, rider is tired.

Glad to see more tours going on out there, @amorley @hondawayne and I’m sure others, mind how you go, enjoy the ride.

Looking at your nice BA Blacktail (It's a "2" I suppose?).

No leak so far with all this rain?

Curious if you are "fast flying" it when setting up in the rain (setting up the fly first and then hanging the tent into it afterwards)?

From the pics, seems like you are not always using the footprint, any reason for that?

Always using the rain fly and the foot print. Only leaked a bit where the cross bar goes into the fly. It hasn’t dried in a few days though. Hopefully tonight.

I was checking where Will is camping now and checked the streetview, never seen a google of a google-car.. lol Cool to see a pipeline.

2's are better up there so if the first one gets ate by a grizzly the second one can tell the sheriff where the parts will be dropped.

Unless your name is like Will i am i ride alone!

And that long wooden bridge across the Yukon river is kinda steep but such a beautiful site to see.
