Saturday January 11th Café.

Morning Ray & All from a white Southern Utah!

And thanks Ray for the Pepsi! :aht3:

Currently it is 35F, up from 27F and heading for 35F, hum, not much heat today, it looks like! :well1: The white stuff invaded us last night while we were sleeping. Snuck up on us it did! The winds have been blowing form the NE all night as well, from 4 to 15mph, later we could see 27mph. :(

We are watching the SoCal fires, and they haven't gotten any better. We got word from my DIL that their power has been off and on. It was off for a day and a half. Thank goodness my son has solar, with a battery, so they have power at the house!

Not sure what the day is going to bring. I need to check with our internet service as to why I can't get phone calls to my landline. I can call out, but they did something that keeps the calls from coming in.

Lazyman's breakfast, Pepsi(s) come later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

A late start today bc it was a late end yesterday. Woke up a quarter of 11 to a dusting of snow and 35°F/2°C and clear skies. Not gonna even bother shoveling it. I'll fiddle around a bit with the broken snowblower to fit the new belt on right then shove it back in the corner. Also going to play with a neat little air compressor on sale for $40 at Amazon. 20Ah battery, damn thing nearly fits in my hand. It may be the new winner to toss into the bike pannier, though I still don't like relying on battery-powered stuff that is supposed for long storage. Just give me a 12V cord and I'll be fine. Not endorsing it, but if you're curious too the link is below. We'll see.

Def needed the joe as the head wasn't having any of it. Thanks! Next difficult decision will be what's for lunch...completely missed brekkie. Take care y'all!

I bought the above on Ebay. Couldn't believe the price and it works well, comes with 12v leads too.
Probably around $20.

I’m back for another cup after a walk with the dog and a trip to refill the bird feeder. Teddy immediately layed down in the snow, but refrained from doing his normal zoomies. I believe he’s sore from all the running and playing that he did yesterday.

I cleaned the windshield and thought about trying out the 4WD in the truck, but common sense prevailed. First, I have nowhere that I need to go, and second, I didn’t want all the salt and slush under the truck.

Picture from my camera equipped feeder.

Okay what kind of bird is that?
And Good day all, so did go back to bed, slept to 11. Awake now, weather looking good for gate adjustment excepted high of 44 F and Cloudy, probably have to wear my heated gloves though , dang Reynards. Getting harder for to follow one of our shop motto 's "Quit your whining and get (insert f bomb) job done!" Be happy and Good Day Eh. G

Yep. I tried my new mittens this morning while removing snow from pavement, and they still didn't keep my fingers as warm as I'd hoped, despite the temperature being a relatively mild 26°F. Chemical warfare will be next: hand warmer packets inside the mittens. Sigh. After that, perhaps heated grips on the blower, if my machine can support them and if they're still available.

How high of a pressure can it give you?

The digital read out goes to daft psi, a hundred plus, God knows if it would ever get there.
I recently had a flat and it took it from flat (but just at the bottom) to 30 psi'ish in a couple of minutes.
This one says 150psi max, but we all know that's usually after an interminable time if at all. I only need it to get to 42 at most, and as long as the battery doesn't crap out until I get there then that's fine. I'll let ya know.

Watched a few videos about these inflators. They key takeaways were many outright lie about the battery amp hours in them, and some won't even inflate a bicycle tire (low volume) before they go kaput. Sometimes, the old hand / foot pumps are still the best, and in the end are just as quick. You just need that "elbow grease" to make 'em work.
