Good question...turns out we're getting treated much better than expected and certainly better than a native NY' er gets treated in NY.
They are treating us very well in 90% of the cases. Gotta stay vigilant with the opportunists trying to get a tip out of ya, though.

Joe has a video of a taxi driver negotiating with me on a ride. I got him down from 300 to 100 baht for a ride to Sukumvit road (20 minute ride), but pleaded with us to let him take us to a custom suit shop where he would get "credit" for our perusing the wears. The shop was indeed in need of help getting folks in as it was ways off on a side road with little traffic. The shop guys were "hungry" for a sale and Joe got a pic which he might put up here. There wasn't a suit in the place but many hundreds of bolts of silk and other fibers. ALL custom work.

We took a card and promised to return with them saying with smiles, "No come back...buy now! "

I think I'll stick to the bacon wrapped duck breast strips that I just took off the grill! However if I was there with you all cooked food would be fair game! Keep the pics coming, I'm really enjoying following along on your adventure!

I think something I ate earlier just tried to make a comeback...

I'm really not that adventurous when it comes to food. I enjoy it...but only what I can identify.

Dace is ahead of me,,, hope all her bags make it too. My total weight, check bag plus carry on plus 'lectronics n' papers, is 44 lbs. Still too much but what'r'ya gonna do? If something gets lost, less to carry.
