Reclaiming the lost

I seem to recall one of the 90* fuel lines not available a few years ago when I went through a '97 refurb. Pretty sure I just ran down to the local Honda dealer to get a foot of bulk fuel line and it worked fine. Might make it a bit longer to account for no factory bend, but not much. Take the damaged one for sizing.
 
Well friends; all good stories have an end and this one is wrapping up. Finally got all the hoses I needed to extended the OEM hoses so they would drip under the bike and not onto the muffler. Had a small issue with a leaking carb again but nothing some fiddling couldn't fix.

After it started, came up to heat, and the fan started I realized I was basically done. Put the plastic back on and gave it a good cleaning:

My wife and I took it out on a ride. It was the bike we dated on so that was special! Later
I invited my dad down and we went for a ride. It's been a long-time in coming:
