Passenger floorboards for St1300?

Thanks for the link, Magna. Interesting items. You're right, mounting them somewhere on the ST is a bit of a challenge. I'll have to sit and stare at the bike for a while tonight.

Noted this on the JCW page:

"Item Description Unit Item # Price Qty. Order
Fold-up Highway Floorboards for Motorcycles $45.99
Fold-up Highway Floorboards for Harley-Davidson Set $45.99"

I guess at JCW, Harley's are not motorcycles. :D

Well these are not cheap but may fit the bill if it is what you need; Mini Bullet Board from Boot Dr .

I ordered a spare footpeg from an '05 ST1300 today. Should have it within the next 3-4 days and will fab something up after that.

I'm also going to make some other items that will mount to the passenger peg, will post up some pics after I'm done.

Excellent, Eric! Looking at the JCW boards in the earlier post suggests some additional possibilities for a set up: Some sort of spud and support in the stock bracket and then the folding board might be the ticket.

ST1300 Passenger Floorboards

Hi folks;
I'm new to the STOC, so I hope I'm posting this correctly...
I just traded my '99 Valkyrie in on a new '05 ST1300. I liberated the small Jardine passenger floorboards from my Valk before it went down the road. They bolt right up to the ST's passenger peg perch without issue, and my wife thinks they're the answer to a maiden's dream.
They measure about 3-1/2" by 5" and look not bad either. I don't know the part number because they came with the Valk when I bought it. If you want to google the Jardine website, I'm sure they appear there somewhere. Hope this helps!

Sounds like it's worth looking into, but I've been searching for 30 minutes, and can't find the Jardine website. Would anyone have that link?
Thanks,
Magna

The JC Whitney mini floorboards for the 02-06 GL will fit the ST. However they will not fold up completely. They look great though, and they are adjustable for angle and are very comfortable.

Do you have a part number and/or photos of the floorboards installed?

Is it one of these?

Hi Partsfather, looking at boards for my new ST for my wife, and saw this post regarding Jardine boards. Do they still flip up O.K., out of the way? Jactana

I installed a pair of J.C. Whitney mini-floorboards for the Goldwing just today for the passenger on my '07 ST. The angle of the boards is adjustable. The only thing is they're a tight fit into the bracket, so put on some grease before you slide them in, it may prevent the use of the hammer I used. They partially fold up. 4 styles. Cost is $134.99 and they look very nice. Part number CBL013940. My wife really likes them, though only a center stand test so far. We're going to road test them tomorrow. I'm eyeballing my shifter to see if I can cut it and weld on a riser so I can put them on for me too, though I'm thinking not.

Got some photos, Jeff? :)

Those are the ones. My wife really liked them during the ride.

OK guys , my wife has been wanting some rear passenger floorboards. Considered just ordering the kind that Jeff and a few others have from JC Whitney.

Then I got a wild hair and decided to try something...fitting rear passenger floorboards from a GL1800 onto the ST. A Wing riding friend replaced his and said I could have his old ones so I figured why not give it a shot?

Had to make a plate for each side from 1/4" thick x 1 1/2 wide x 5 1 /4" long steel plate, and a peg bracket from 3/4" square stock with a hole for the pin drilled in the appropriate spot. Then drill 2 holes in the right location to bolt on the Wing floorboard to the flat stock, and weld the peg bracket to the back side of the flat stock.

I think they turned out well. They even fold up (although I still have to get a couple detent springs, bearings and plates that the previous owner robbed to use on his new floorboards). Still have to dress the welds and paint the brackets.

(Note pictures were taken in the mock up mode using 1/8" plate and just tack welded to make sure everything would line up and work)

I just got back from a 2500 mile (982 in one day) ride. I put Goldwing pegs on the front before I left. I am putting the ST ones back on. The wing pegs did nothing for my feet and look funny.

Larry these are for the rear passenger. I prefer pegs on the front.

Hi guys, I added the Jardine boards ( for Honda Valkyrie) and MCL peg lowering kit, works great. No interference with driver pegs or feet. I had to take a cutting drill bit and mill off about 25/1000th of the peg arm to fit in the bracket. I also had to drill the hole larger in the brackets to accept the larger size bolt that came with the board. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I've attached pictures for those who are interested. Cheers. Ron P.S. I've never attached anything before so bear with me!
