Passenger floorboards for St1300?

Ferret , do the passenger floor boards interfear with you putting your feet down at stops etc. ? Walking the bike at slow speed in a parking lot etc. ?

Patiodadio..not that I can tell. I I had to order the springs, balls and detent plates that would make them stay up when folded , so I didn't take it for a test ride yet. Ordered parts yesterday and they should be in Monday or Tuesday.

However they shouldn't make any difference. I did sit on on both the drivers and passengers seats and there is no difference in foot placement for the passenger than the stock pegs, just more support.

There should be no interference as far as I can tell so far, but once I get them completely finished I'll post up pics and give a ride report from the drivers perspective and one from my wife's.

If you look at my avatar to the left, my wife's feet will still be in the same place and nowhere near mine, she'll just have a flat place for her feet instead of the pegs.

This thread has not been active for a while and since 2008 some products are now not available, or at least not through the suppliers listed in the posts above.

JC Whitney no longer ship outside USA and Canada (I rang them a week or so ago), and I am still trying to identify the best option for a replacement larger passenger peg (not a large floorboard) for my ST1300. The two components are for Goldwings and look to suit an ST1300 pillion mounting point:
  1. Show Chrome Adjustable $106.99
  2. CycleMax Dually ISO pegs $68.00

1. From others on this forum, these Show Chrome pegs look to be a reasonable fit, but unless someone can advise on an online store that will ship to Australia, then I cannot access them:

From memory, members of this Forum have fitted these. Their advantage over the second set bellow may be that they are slightly larger/squarer, making it even easier for my pillion to climb up on. Can anyone say whether they need addtional hardware for mounting them? i.e. Does the peg set come with a cerated plug/bracket for slotting straight into the ST's frame?

2. This second set may be even better than the Show Chrome set; Not only do that loo to fit straight into the ST's swivel mounting point, they are also cheaper :) I have seen the following pegs in the flesh used as rider pegs (not pillion) on a GL1800. They also look suitable for pillion use on an ST13 and it appears CycleMax ship to Australia. Has anyone fitted these to an ST1300?
