After paying the taxes, I thought it'd be a good idea to clear the head with decent ride. Took a tour of the old La Bahia Road or what's left of it; Scenic HWY 390. Road east on SH29 which has some fast sweepers and a good speed 65 MPH limit to take advantage of them. Eventually connected with FM112 through Lexington and couldn't resist snapping a pic of Snow's BBQ, one of the top 10 in Texas. Open only on Saturdays and get there before 11:00 for the good stuff. Road through Dime Box; got to love that name. Arrived at Burton, the start of my main tour, the La Bahia road. By the way it's the oldest road in Texas and was used as the main immigrant road for Austin's original 300 colony. It has some great sweepers and a couple twists, but the real attractions are spring flowers and history, including Sam Houston's house at the start of the Civil War.

Congrats on paying your taxes and then riding! Great way to wash the frustration away!

I paid my taxes, then had to pay $3,000+ for fan replacements in my two home heaters, then my 2010 locked up it's rear brake and now my FIOS (Internet, TV & Phone service) battery is going bad! The joys of living! :eek:4:

Iread the title and thought, That's one way to get over it. :)

Wow, all that requires several weeks of riding; someplace exotic!

Reg, glad you got it over with. My SS thanks you. Also glad you got out for the ride. Great way to clear ones head.

I paid my taxes and can't afford a ride...
Sigh...

All of you getting an SS check you're welcome! :)

I am going for my first ride of the season today. My first stop is my accountant to drop off my tax info. Our tax day is April 30 in Canada. Funny how great minds think alike...eh?
