I just got a v4-powered Aprilia Tuono (in addition to my ST1300)—I’m just curious if others have done the same—or maybe an RSV or Honda VFR?

Congrats on your latest motorcycle.
Can you post any pics?

I have a VFR and somewaht looking for an ST...

With those graphics, there is not much chance of mistaking that bike for any other brand. Though, with the accessory that came with it, I doubt if anyone will even see the logo.

The V65 Sabre was my second V4. Same color but with a bikini faring -a little shorter and narrower (no winds in front of the grips. There was some soft luggage but no tail trunk. For my money it was tied for first place with my black GL1000 for the most beautiful elegant looking bikes Honda every made.

One of these was my first V4. Maybe part of a three way tie for my Most Beautiful Elegant Bike Honda Ever Made award.

But no other Aprilias?
Enjoy but save your pennies. We had a RSV4 come in for service that required the cylinder heads to be replaced, out of warranty, for a princely sum. Parts alone were just under $4000, with labor it came to near $7000. Aprilia sent us only 14 of the 16 valve guides needed and the other 2 took a month. Bike had less than 10,000 miles on it, older owner that took care of it.

Yeah, I know, but I’m not getting any younger. My hand was forced when in December I went for a 10-minute ride (in Chicago, it was below freezing) and hit a patch of black ice and totaled my last sport bike, sv1000. I woulda been happy to stick with that the rest of my life, but losing it left a huge sportbike-shaped hole in my heart. The Tuono was what I wanted to get 12 years ago when I got Suzi, but bowed to practicality. Not this time.
