Old Enough To Remember?

My mom would get angry when she realized some cards were missing out of the deck. Usually this was discovered during a game.
I once put as many cards as I could fit on my bike. I couldn't get going fast enough to actually ride it.

All I got was a half turn of the pedals at a time and "flap-flap-flap . . . flap-flap-flap . . . flap-flap-flap."

I used to love these small toys often found in cereal boxes. A small submarine toy that you would put baking soda into and put in water. The sub would sink to the bottom and as the baking soda got wet it would produce gas that caused the sub to retunr to the surface where the gas would release and it would sink down again and repeat its journey. They also made small scuba divers that did the same thing.

Remember those. Life was a lot simpler then. Many hours of fun with simpler things!

One of the very few companies to continue making a profit during the Great Depression. Until then 10¢ beers edged out 10¢ Good Humor bars. During the Depression . . . beer sales declined in favor of Good Humor bars.
