Unfortunately, just about only members of this forum will appreciate the condition of this motorcycle. Such high mileage at this price of a motorcycle of this age. Only a member here would appreciate that it is better than new. When I negotiate the price of an antique Indian motorcycle, and the seller claims the engine is recently rebuilt, unless I can talk with the engine rebuilder and see what was paid for the work, I assume the motor will will have to be redone. You may have to take a loss on this one. You can try on Cycle Trader, Craig's list or Facebook. I would love to be wrong.

The only other place I've had success selling bikes is Facebook marketplace. You will have to filter through the "Still for sale?" replies with no further communication but it is a free spot to post.

I appreciate your response, but I'm not on Facebook and . . . this forum is probably the place with the highest appreciation for the quality of IGOFARs expertise.

Making dramatic changes in the offering today. Recheck Post #1 in about 10 minutes. :D

Unfortunately it's a bad time to sell motorcycles. Which is one of the reasons you're having problems selling it.

I know, after doing all the work I did to my 2004, I wouldn't want less than $4,500 for it, but getting it? If you can hold on to it until spring, you might do better.

Me too! I'm not planning on giving up riding, just . . . moving to a lighter bike.

So, when this ST moves out of my garage I'll start looking for its replacement. That'll be fun!

Non of us are getting younger, my next bike will be smaller as well. Good luck with the sale and recovery.

"Funny" part is......riding a smaller bike (or even bicycle) beside the ST helps developing and maintaining the skills to be a more relaxed and confident ST Rider.

At such a bargain basement price now, you may end up in a bidding war and could add OBO to the listing.....

Price point is exactly where the local dealer said these bikes are moving. But none ever dressed like this one.
I would hope so considering . . . all the expensive farkles that are now included. If I had the time, I'd sell off all the farkles then donate the bike to a local charity.

Google searches sometimes pick up items for sales on ST Owners if the title is conducive to it

Note that good titles for ads on this site are often picked up through straight Google searches,

Your current title is not best for that.

So sorry to hear, @Shuey but to your latest question, it wouldn't hurt to list it on ADVrider Flea Market.

There is an active listing of bikes, being added to pretty much daily, and they are not all adventure bikes. You'll see almost anything in the Bikes For Sale, and a bunch of ST riders are there.
