This was IGOFARs personal bike that at 100,000 miles he rejuvenated and enhanced to last another 100,000 of trouble free riding miles. As you’ll see, it’s mechanically better than an out-of-the-crate new bike!
My first ST was a . . . 2007 ST1300A! I loved that bike until it was destroyed by a bear. Larry’s bike was like my lost love. Couldn’t resist, bought it then enhanced it further for my long distance touring needs. Health issues now dictate I need to sell it so it will be ridden and enjoyed rather than just sitting in my garage.
First: what did IGOFAR (Larry) do to his bike? (Unable to price the parts, much less the labor!)
IGOFAR services completed & parts replaced as follows:
- New Shinko Verge tires front & rear
- New clutch - complete - plates/discs/springs
- New clutch slave cylinder
- New water pump, mechanical seal, and bearings
- New Secondary master cylinder
- New OEM Honda pads in all three calipers
- Entire brake & clutch systems flushed
- Complete coolant service & t-stat
- Constant tension clamps on all hoses (2020)
- Engine oil and filter
- Drive shaft gear oil
- New flange bearings
- New rear cushion dampers & o-rings
- Forks completely rebuilt with seals & bushings
- Sonic springs 1.1 - 125 oil depth - 30mm preload spacers - 7 wt. fork oil
- Rear pre-load adjuster serviced
- New U-Joint
- New front wheel bearings & dust seals
- Starter valve sync - new vacuum lines
- Counter balance adjustment
- New fuel pump, OEM filter, OEM fuel lines
- New Joint fuel tube & clamps
- Pristine fuel tank(s) no rust or damage
- New ND Denso plugs
- Pair units cleaned
- OEM Honda Police handlebar risers with OEM cover
