This is the best option, although I dealt with a different guy rather than Cindy. Shipping to Canada was not a problem.

Has anyone done a step by step article on this install?

1. Buy the LED Headlights.
2. Remove the rubber covers from the headlights.
3. Remove old headlights
4. Separate the LED Headlights from the holder(base)
5. Install the holders (base) after removing the two bottom tabs (like you have to do with any non-standard H4 bulb)
6. Install the rubber covers over the base, without the LED headlights in place.
7. Install the LED headlights through the rubber covers, into the base. (look through the headlight "glass" for proper alignment.)
8. connect the wires up and zip-tie them up, out of the way.

There you go, instructions how to mount the LED headlights!

From in front of the bike, reach under the head light to replace the light bulb. You will have to rotate the handlebars to move to forks out of the way....

1a. Disconnect wires from existing headlight bulbs.

Or, as I had to do while on my trip to replace the LED (one was out), pop the mirrors off, remove the windshield, windshield cowl and instruments and everything is right there!

I don't know but let me guess. First) high-wattage LED bulbs tend to be longer than the halogens they replace so fitment might be a problem. Second) I wonder about the fan's efficacy in an small enclosed space. Some of these bulbs don't use fans but strips or loops of what looks like flat braided wire as a heat sink. I don't think those would last long.

I'd like to see some Evitek LEDs to replace some H-1 bulbs in some auxiliary lights. I've yet to put them on because they're 55W each. I'm looking for an LED bulb with a fan. Fitting in the housing will be a concern.

The OEM bulb sockets have tabs that need to be squeezed to remove them. I forget if you squeeze at the front or the back of the connector.

If memory serves the tabs are on the sides of the connector. Somewhere on this site there's a pretty good pic of the socket and the tabs...


Found one:

If you rotate the socket 90? clockwise you'll have it in the position as connected on the bike.

Yes, there are tabs on either side of the 3 pin connector that depress when you squeeze it between finger and thumb.
