4 was my original route, but I saw that it was closed until May 27. Same with 120.The other route highway 4 over Ebbetts pass is absolutely spectacular as well.

Great route! You will love Utah and the route you planned. I would just add in Boulder UT where Rt 12 makes a turn go straight on Burr trail road. It's a in and back out about 35 miles round trip with a small slot canyon right at the road (11 mile mark). Just look at some pics on google Maps . Also Colorado National Monument is a quick detour that has lost of twisties and elevation. As some of you may know, I purchased Dan's (bdalameda) bike, a 1997 ST1100 ABSII. I'm starting a fly-n-ride from Dallas next Saturday May 21st. I'm taking the following week off work, so I'm combining this purchase with a CO/UT trip I was planning to make anyway. My tentative route is below. I picked this route to get Hwy 50 in Nevada, Hwys 12, 128 and Moki Dugway in Utah and Hwys 141 and 550 in CO. I've previously ridden all of these except Hwy 50 in NV. There are some roads in AZ that I want to ride, but trying to stay in the cooler part of the country as long as I can. I have plenty of time, so would appreciate any advice on other routes. Also, if anyone wants to meet up for lunch/dinner, that would be great, let me know! I'm going to try and update this thread as I go. My spot link is in my avatar info. Thanks for watching!![]()
Ebbetts pass opened on May 12. the section on the road in the pic is one-way only IIRC. It is just a short section.
Thanks for that! I've added Rimrock Dr. to my day 5 route out of Fruita, CO. I'll see about Burr Trail if time allows. I've ridden UT12 before, but didn't do Burr Trail due to time.Great route! I'd probably just do the Burr Trail out and back.If you do the Burr Trail, let me know. Level of Lake Powell is really low so I am not sure the Hall's Ferry crossing is running. If the ferry is closed it is a long way round from Moki Dugway to the Burr Trail.
I am planning to do both on the way to WeSTOC.
Burr trail is free, and in my opinion is better than CNM (pay)Thanks for that! I've added Rimrock Dr. to my day 5 route out of Fruita, CO. I'll see about Burr Trail if time allows. I've ridden UT12 before, but didn't do Burr Trail due to time.
And on the perfect machine for it in the proper color! An overlook along CA88 at 6,600’ altitude
Didn’t know I’d get this high. Perfect day here.
