Moto Guzzi Norge???

Funny thing about the Norge seems everyone likes it. Almost every gas stop requires conversation, something I'm not too good at and normally avoid. Sport touring guys like it because well that's what it is. Harley guys think it's cool because it's a V-Twin with the cylinders sticking out for all to see. Ducati guys like it because its a Paisan. And I think a lot of Japanese bike riders like because they've never seen one and have no idea what it is or what to make of it. I know Guzzis are more universally accepted than most bikes but this Norge draws comments where ever I go.

Well, it is an interesting colour too..... kinda reminds me of my root beer '14 FJR..... I think the Norge always drew interest and comments even when new back in the day. I always liked the look of it.

I was actually thinking of you and your root beer color. I don't normally name bikes but came home one day and said to my wife, think I'm going to name the Norge Bay Horse or Bay Bike because a bay horse is brown with black mane and tail. She said I should call it Root Beer Barrel!

I had a Root Beer Brown Suzuki GS 850G. What a nice bike that was. Shaft drive, mag wheels, triple discs, 6 gallon gas tank, and one of the most comfortable seats I've ever ridden on. I wish there were more bikes like it available today, including the color.

Getting parts for my son's 2009 Ducati was a nightmare. We were told they were boat freighted over from Italy

I just received notification that the back ordered parts (from Italy) I ordered less than 10 days ago have left the dealer (in the USA) and are on their way to my house. Not bad. As fast or faster than most Japanese manufacturers fill back orders. Only problem is parts are on their way to my house in WI and the bike and I are in FL! Can't blame that on Moto Guzzi.

850 shaft drive you say? Yeah they do that. Sorry no root beer color and as Ray says there is something extra fast in the root beer paint. Thankfully there ere are other colors available than the one in the picture. Guzzis in general have very comfortable seats.

I owed several of the Suzuki GS series, all late 70's/early 80's. Nice machines, simple, reliable and very tough to break. My favorite was a black 81 GS750E with a Kerker header and a jet kit, and some other mods. Rode that bike everywhere, wrecked and rebuilt it once.
