Good morning everyone

There's fresh ho French roast in the pot. First priority goes to those still working, as their wage slavery resumes for the week, but there's plenty for everyone. Queue up, remain calm and orderly, and all will be served in turn and due course.

It's 44°F and clear in Rockville, scheduled to reach 73 with sunny skies later on. Yesterday's breezy conditions have passed, leaving us with calm air and 65 percent relative humidity. It should be a lovely, albeit cool to start, morning for the first round in this year's "Duffer's League" golf outings. It's not a competitive league: there are no prizes, nobody reports their scores, after two putts you pick up and move on... it's social golf, nothing more. To qualify, players must be 60 years or older. That's the only limitation.

After goof, what? Who knows; who cares? Probably some uke practice and a trip to the grocery store.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

G'Day...

refreshing 7°C in ze mornin', highs of 19°C expected, blue skies, glaring sun...
So you've to swap between lined Gore <> mesh gloves, as well as jacket with <> w/out liner...

Office, rather calm...

GF took some days off (she has racked too many unused vacation days), but got drafted by her pops to a training ride with an e-bike...
(that oncoming family ride-out is a big project of his, so everyone has to follow his dictatorship...)
So she got dragged over 24km/15miles this crispy morning...
I guess she's now recovering with some relaxing garden work... ;)

have a good one!

good morning all. thanks for the coffee Keith. 55F on the dog walk with a sky full of stars to see and enjoy. clouds and moon are a no-show for now.
have gym class this morning and a doctors appointment this afternoon to see about a toe nail removal. what fun that will be. at least the weather will be nice. 87F for the high with a clear sky. enjoy the day

stay safe

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Keith.

It's sunny and 46, heading up to 73 with continued sun.

The weekend at the track went okay, with rain during most of the racing.
I worked turn 2 both days, and got to run a bit, along with my corner partner.
We picked up about 7-8 downed riders over the course of Saturday's racing, including one who high-sided off his bike. He got an ambulance ride to the IMC, but was ultimately okay.

Sunday started out cool and dry-ish, but then turned to drizzle and light rain. Windy, too. I almost lost my folding chair, and we had some Air Fence that tried to escape.

The crashing stopped in turn 2, but moved to turn 1A. We didn't have a pick-up person there, so I got to work the crashes there, too. We picked up a half-dozen riders who were unlucky enough to low-side there.
Some of the riders are wearing some newish suits, which have some sort of fabric and leather in contact areas. I guess it looks better and is cheaper to make. One of my low-side guys got up and showed me the torn up arm and road rash that resulted. I hope he makes a different decision when he buys his next suit.

Pick up guy in 1A on Saturday didn't show on Sunday, because he also races, went down in another turn, and hurt his hand. Second crash in two days. My partner in my turn said that he's an aggressive rider on the street, and he had suggested that he take it to the track. We have a "Super Street" class, where they can race on their street bike, with less bike prep. Hopefully, he'll turn down the aggression, and pick up some skill at the track.

Today, I'll pick up our cat, Freya, at the border, maybe hit the gym, and ???
Freya will be needy, and I'm sure lap time will be involved.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Good morning, everyone. Thanks for the Monday start-up Keith.

There’s a beautiful blue sky, with 55 degrees, just begging for a morning of sitting on the deck. The sun will continue all day, as the temperature rises to 83, bringing out the short britches and iced tea.

I’ve almost finished my tinkering with the neighbors riding mower and now I’m waiting on the voltage regulator to arrive. He’s a great neighbor, but has to be one of the most mechanically declined persons that I’ve ever met. I swear, anything more complicated than an adjustable wrench and he’s lost. He’s super smart, doing video editing for Dave Ramsey Financial, but his tool knowledge is akin to my knowledge of writing poetry. At least, I’m getting rewarded with fresh organic eggs, so I’m not complaining.

Enjoy the day

John

Good morning, all, and thanks for the caffeinated beverage, Keith, though I'm not sure I should ask what "fresh ho" French Roast is! Oh, what the hey, I'll try anything once.

Ahhhh. Finally, a proper, lovely spring day with no rain! We'll have bright sunshine all day and a delightful high of 20°C/68°F. A few more days like this and we should start to see some green on the trees and bushes. That's right, no leaves yet way up here, but the grass has turned green and the plants and flowers are pushing up through the soil. A mallard and his mate were happily splashing away in the pond earlier, and a dark-eyed junco alit on my balcony railing to say good morning. So spring is, indeed, in the air.

It's election day here in the Great White North - by late tonight, we'll know whether our interim Prime Minister will remain as PM, or whether it'll be a whole new ballgame.

Everyone have a great day, stay safe and go safely.

Patty

Good coffee, Keith. While I'm still a wage slave, I can wait for the retirees, as I'm in no hurry this Monday.

Steve, while this weekend your guys were pursuing reduced lap times, it seems Freya may want to extend hers. I doubt she cares for the clock, at least till feeding time.

Another clear day, barely above average temps for this time of year, to the mid-80s, which were a terrible time for rock music. At least when compared to coming out of the 70s, but I'll admit to being highly biased.

Yesterday I rode the ST in the morning, and the 1250 in the afternoon. My first occasion to sweat on a ride in quite some time.

I'll shut up now, and post this -but first a refill - as I nearly lost what I've typed so far.

Have a good day, even if Mondays aren't as satisfying as most Fridays.

Morning all! The weather situation has definitely changed, after a week of gorgeous days it's now overcast with rain forecast to begin about 11 am, just around the time we plan to go out and vote....go figure. Here's hoping it's not pathetic fallacy come to life....Currently 9C with a predicted high of 12C.

The rain will actually be appreciated. We managed to get 3 out of 5 trees planted yesterday so they can use a drink from Mother Nature in addition to the one from the hose. We planted them to hopefully fill in some gaps between our property and the ones beyond to provide a visual screen. They're Japanese Maples so they'll also provide a nice pop of red colour against the background of evergreens.

In addition to voting, my wife needs to renew her driver's license and provincial medical care plan card. They'll likely give her a combo card this time around which reduces one card that she'll need to squeeze into her wallet.

Hope everyone has a great day, and if you're a resident of the Great White North, don't forget to get out and vote....let's avoid election dysfunction!

Good mornin' from SoMD! My fleagle Princess #2 was once again my alarm clock, waking me promptly at 0657. Coffee is a Monday requirement...actually any day ending in "y". A chilly 40F/4.5C but warming quickly...translation, a terrible day to spend inside the home office, but I am still one of the financially beholden, sooo.....

Today's agenda is overshadowed by aforementioned office biz, but I do get to listen to our USCG nav arch cadets present their new icebreaker design. Very cool and impressive. Also, going to try to get garage work done during lunch, maybe some painting. Also working on getting the ol' Apple IIe fully working as the kbd had some non-working keys. Spent too much time fixing TWO keys, only to have another stick AFTER I had it all back together. Ugh. But I do plan to ride to rehearsal tonight, so looking forward to finally throwing a leg over the ST if only for a "local" jaunt.

Gotta get back to it, so take care y'all!

Edit: first rose of the season. These bushes survived single-digit winter in pots. Very resilient!

Morning Keith & All from a dreary cloud covered morning in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 47F, up from 37F and heading for a low, er, I mean high of 56F. The winds are already blowing from the SSW @ 6 to 11 mph. Later, the winds will switch to the North @ 9 to 16mph. And NOW, the Weather Guessers are calling for RAIN! Really? I'll believe it when it hits the ground.

Chris is busy (which means I am too) getting ready to leave for ST George for her week long Quilt Retreat. I'm not sure why they call it a Quilt RETreat... They should just call it a Quilt TREAT!
Free of Husbands! It's a TRAET for us, anyway! :rofl1:

After she leaves (which seems to take FOREVER, I'll get back to the AZ05 Build. Today, I plan to replace all the air hoses to the Throttlebody. And setup the overflow line, before attaching the throttlebody.

Eggs, bacon, toast and OJ to start the morning. Pepsi(s) to come later.

Anyone :bl13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good morning all
Thanks for the hot start Keith!
We did our duty, we both voted!

66/69F with a SSW blow to keep us cool!
Mostly sunny til afternoon, then cloudy.
The lawn has been tidied up, the lumber is ordered for my dock/cribbing project.
I need to order the rest of the required hardware.
Enjoy your day!

A few more days like this and we should start to see some green on the trees and bushes. That's right, no leaves yet way up here

Unlike here, where we're fully leafed out, the first wave of ornamentals has come and gone, and we're now deep in azalea and hydrangea season.

Also working on getting the ol' Apple IIe fully working

AS what, a doorstop? Paperweight? Boat anchor?
