Edit: My comments are for anyone with an ST1300 as the dash LED's are soldered in. If you have an ST1100 the bulbs are replaceable (like swapping any other bulb) and can be easily upgraded to brighter LED's.
ST1300 - FYI this is just the LED's to replace the stock ones. They are NOT plug and play. The old ones need to be de-soldered and the new ones re-soldered on after you take the cluster apart. The tiny SMD LED's are not easy to do, especially if you don't have the proper solder station and some experience with them.

I’ve changed mine with lightenUp grade here in the uk, and was straight forward apart from headlights, it’s a bit fiddly, so my question would be, is there a difference between how your bulbs fit on US models to UK models? Mine was a straight swap including headlight, they have built in fans for cooling.

I think the difference is more between the ST1300 and the 1100.
I've not purchased one of these kits, but I have done some soldering on printed circuit boards and changed out some components. Twenty bucks? If you want the kit then pop for it, that's cheap enough. If you have never soldered on a PC board, get some practice and get the right equipment as @Obo said. If you apply too much heat, especially over too big an area, you can damage the board. Actually doing the work is no big deal, like plastering, or riding a unicycle. Without experience things can be a bit challenging or you could damage the instrument cluster. I wouldn't do this without practice, so go get an old computer mother or accessory board or hard drive and learn how to solder correctly, pulling components. In fact, do this before you buy the kit and then decide.
Agreed. I think these are the bulbs in an ST1100 dash and are removable.
Here's what's soldered on the ST1300 dash. The arrows point to the SMD's (surface mount diode) aka LED. You've likely seen them in lighting strips like the photo below.
So what you are doing with this kit is de-soldering the old dim SMD's from the factory and installing new brighter ones. There's no plug and play here.
As @SMSW said, it's fine work, requires the right tools and there is the possibility of damaging the board both from overheating and when you take the cluster apart. It's not a novice task of you'd find everyone with an ST1300 would have done it already at that price
Yes the 1100 has the tiny bayonet bulbs. The 1300 has surface mount LED's
Upvote for Bluegauges.com. I've done some hobby repairs of surface mount LED's. There's a fine line between didn't get it hot enough to connect and "oh poop, I just melted it!"

I see, I was looking at the avatar, my apologies.
Soldering SMDs isn't all that difficult. If you have basic soldering skill then working with them just takes a little practice. A decent temperature controlled pencil is a big help and a steady hand mandatory.
Diving into the dash does give some people pause while others can have it removed in just a few minutes. I think the 1300 uses something like 28 SMD LEDs and that can get a bit tedious for the uninitiated. Me I'm lazy and would just as soon send it off to bluegauges.
Thankfully i have an st1100..pull, plug, play.

Hi all! Here is the list of bulbs with part numbers and URLs for the specific items I used.
Note that for the instrument panel I specified either a 90* or 120* bulb. I have used both and found the 120* to wrok the best for my needs but some may prefer the 90*. Although there are other beam patterns available, there's no need to use a wider one.
I list both a red and a white bulb for the instruments. I found the red worked well for me at night though I preferred the white at dusk... Go figure. Although there are other colours available, I haven't tried them all so have no opinion.
