Led signal lamps all around.

There are plenty of add on white LED’s you can add easily to light up the license plate.

In my case, I’m going to install the license plate bolts from Superbright.

I have something similar on my Honda fury, though I dont remember where I bought them. What I don’t like about them is that if you ever change registrations you have to unwire them before you can unscrew them.

It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes the state chooses to not renew a tag number and issues an entire new tag.

I swear I had a leftover LED license plate frame from when I was customizing my other bike that had white LEDs in it. It’s in my shed of many things someplace. Mostly I wanted to point this out so that another member doesn’t have trouble because they followed something I posted without pointing out that the license plate really is supposed to be lit up white.

Bullet connectors should make that a non-issue, as the nuts should fit over them.

I did that too, believe it or not. On the particular ones that I have the nuts are so tiny it’s still a pain in the butt. Only one bullet connector can fit through the hole-in-the-nut at one time.

Or the “nut-hole” if you prefer

Interesting, I’ve never had a plate changed by the province, though if the plate is damaged it would have to be replaced.

In my case I’m good with the bolts.

No matter what, there are a bunch of ways to light the plate.

Looking into lit license plate frames, dont want a ticket from some overzealous member of the constabulatory.
:rofl1: Whenever somebody gets a ticket it's always because the constabulary is overzealous/a jerk/filling a quota. Never because the rider/driver is doing something illegal.

That's also a common complaint from the people who put tinted covers over their license plates. (Any cover is illegal in CA.) Since red illumination makes it difficult to read a plate at night I'd think a ticket would be appropriate. Your tax-paying $$ at work.

All that said though it's a bit of a hassle to wire an LED strip or the illuminated license plate frames/bolts – once done no worries. I think it's worth the effort as red LED bulbs through a red lens will almost always be brighter than white LED bulbs through a red lens. Not to mention having trick brake lights. And we all seem to agree the ST1300's tail lights are pretty anemic.

My tail lights have been red LED's for more than a year now. Never failed inspection and never been hassled by the Law. It's just not something I'm going to worry about.

Same here. Though if I rode more at night I might do something about my brake strobe. It's kind a bright.
