Three MONTHS ago, this dog jumped the owners fence, and a 1 year old puppy followed it into the desert!
The owner looked for it for a few weeks then gave up.
When I heard this, I put together a team of trackers, purchased game cameras, and started trying to find her routine.
After a few weeks, and several sightings, I set up the trap under a tunnel that crosses the road she has been last seen on….
Every morning, noon, and night, I’ve been taking food and water down to the trap.
After trapping a coyote, two bobcats, and two very large javelina’s, this morning, my heart jumped when I saw her at the trap!
A few minutes later, we got her!
She is at a safe house, calming down in a larger crate until we can take her to the vet.
Unfortunately, the pup that followed her everywhere was found deceased last Monday from a rattlesnake bite.
I was so happy we cried this morning.

Sad but at least good to know the pup isn’t suffering who knows where.

Good job tracking her down.

I had a skittish pregnant rescue snap backwards out of her collar.

Between leads, hours of looking over fields for six days and with the help of a tracker with cameras we trapped her the same way before the pack of coyotes got involved.

Next day she gave birth.

Been using choker collars with rescues ever since.
