Do the rotation and spiral directions combine to "screw" lube up the cable?
Is it only me ?... speedo cable

See my post on page one. Take the cable out and lube it by hand.
That's possible, if you use too much. Keep the lube about 4 inches away from the speedo head end and only a light smear is needed.
