Idea To Plan, To Help Under Mirror Lights

Imagine, if you will, the disassembly process required when the large side cowl needs to be removed for maintenance.

Or don't...

We always have to deal with the Law of Unintended Consequences.
After owning ST1100s for eight years, it took a couple years to realize that I didn’t have to remove the 1300 mirrors to get that fairing off.

My new lights weigh 1.3 pounds.
PSR brackets rated for 1.0 pound.
I will be doing the L shelf brackets this week.

I am seriously considering selling my ST and getting a Super Tenere or a Moto Guzzi. If I do, I will have a set of the under mirror brackets that are in the previous post #19 available.

You know we'll need pics.
Flyin' and ridin'.
Then ridin' and flyin'.
Both wheels on the ground, if you will.
(But we know, "accidents" can happen.) ;-)

That was fun, took way too long to decide about cutting the mirror covers. Some random guy said just mount them...

There is a high beam on the rounds also, switch 2. Switch 4 is Zmoons yellow, 5 is full monty.

Cut an angle bracket, sprayed some black paint.

Those lights look great. I really like the round lights under the mirrors. A few members have done it and it always looks great. And that white ST... Beauty eh?

But my favorite pic of the bunch is #4:

I dig the parking lights. Would you post a bit about how you wired them? Not having an STPA I'd want to wire them so they're on in the ACC position. Some of my Hondas illuminated the tail light in that position but I never used it because it drained the battery too quickly. With LEDs I could get another 10 min at least. :D I wouldn't bother with the tail lights but the position lights in the front could be handy. And I like the look.

Thank you, I'm pleased with how it all turned out. Honda is doing most of the heavy lifting with this. The P bike has the switch to turn off headlights and parking lights.

The amber fork lights from https://skenelights.com/ is doing the rest. I tied the skene's relay into the harness for a trigger with a positap. Sorry I can't be of more help on this. If I was going to have parking lights on the non-P, going aftermarket with a low voltage cutoff to not drain the battery might be a solution. I might even include a small battery/powerpack to do the work so the bike always starts.
