I’m splitting this clam bake. See ya soon Boston!

Runs great! Must have grabbed a gulp of dirty gas. New filter is in and working well
get rid of that vac shut valve. ..fuel pump will act the same way, works when it wants. did it stall after going from hot to a cooler climate?

Not at all. Still feels a bit underpowered
fueling issues will have a loss of power. If you can do a wide open throttle from 3dr to 4th gear with out it cutting out your fuel is not an issue. Sometime after riding long ways it get on your mind and think something's wrong when it's not. personal experience. don't forget when your in higher altitude it will be underpowered. ST1100 don't like anything above sea level .

Glad you were able to get her rolling again, Mike! And, GREAT improvisation skills! Ride safe, and I am looking forward to eating some ribs and hearing about how beautiful riding in Colorado is when you come back through Oklahoma!

If you're not sure you want to get rid of it, just bypass it and see what happens. It's a 10 minute job once you get the plastic off. Don't forget to plug the vacuum hose. I use one of the little mounting screws. Screw it into the hose.

I lost my dirt road virginity yesterday! Went 40 mi up this state highway in nm and up pops a sign that says gravel next 16 mi. So, i spent 16 mi sliding in and out of loose gravel and truck ruts. I saw three cars. At the end of this, my navi told me to turn left, and like a idiot, i did. The next ten mi was in first or second gear. Truck ruts galore, but no fresh ones. I bottomed my centerstand three times, my rear shock countless times and not one car. I spun my rear tire getting up hills and looked over some dropoffs. U bet i was petrified. I learned why dirt riders stand on the pegs. I guess i accomplished and learned something, but id rather not do it again.
I got up this morning grateful that the red was upright and in good shape, as well as me. 1FE65E26-B701-4CEC-9470-64FDF36306F7.jpeg40EFFEDA-4DA6-4DF3-9EEA-A9DCEB85D23A.jpegB5FC169F-8531-4849-BECE-E79BB57DF653.jpegE1B2A2E7-3046-4B4B-AE93-DF425DF4B8F8.jpeg

This is the infamous million dollar highway. They charge extra for guard rails and the biker joke here is that the bears will get you before the emt’s. This is really not the place to screw around, but there is plenty of fun to b had before and after the pass. 4EC21B42-39A7-4386-B8C6-7E834223AE13.jpeg7978A882-710F-4FD8-994E-FF96159EC6CE.jpegAA92F6E4-02C6-488A-BE49-F6023D038D54.jpeg502E496A-2EE2-4EA9-9FC6-C7B38A2E28C6.jpeg861683C7-7601-4712-AEF0-D1B78AB8AA20.jpeg
