The 7300 is a very good rig for the money. Icom must have sold millions of them.

Im mostly using the 3cm band, so portable is a bit hard with the equipment i have for now to load on a bike, here is my setup:

Still trying to get him on 40 CW. Its like herding cats. Sometimes they run 40 CW overnight, sometime they dont. I'm hunting them on 40 m after sunset and before sunrise. The antenna is a Optibeam 12-4 up at 75 ft(10-15-20-40) and a full size 80 m vertical with close to 4000 ft of radials underneath it. The antenna is ~65 ft tall. The radials are also ~65 ft long each.
