High mileage ST1300

The seat is a Sargent. Going to look at it tomorrow and test ride then go from there. Pics on dealers website make it look nice but that's what pics are good for. LOL

My bad. It is black after reading description of it. Looked dark blue on these old eyes.

I have one FOR SALE (see my ad on here), open to best offers, and will deliver to east coast by trailer from South Buffalo, NY >>to Greenville, SC, along my route in early to mid August!!. 2003 with 71k miles. I took ownership abt 5k miles ago last year from my father. I am OCD about cleaning, and maint. upkeep officianado!!. Or come meet me halfway before the trip and will finish a deal!!

Thanks for all replys. Dealer wants $4995 for the 2009 ST1300. 102k miles but big seller for me is the MC cruise control. It also has an aftermarket seat. Will that affect the adjustable seat? I currently have a Goldwing trike & VTX1300. I put a cheapo Vista throttle lock on it but is basically worthless. Loses speed instantly. Got to have cruise for my wrist which cramps up after 15-30 min. of riding
The MC cruise alone is $900. Also, this particluar AM seat may not be best for you. Everyone is different. I bought my ST with a Bill Mayer seat which was built for the PO. I could not sit on it for more than an hour, but the PO raved about it. So I would not get too excited about this Sargent, until you ride it for about an hour or so.

Cruise is a definite plus. Ask dealer to see if you can talk with previous owner about service. Offer him $4000 cash and negotiate from there. Be prepared to walk. There are plenty of others out there for great deals.

Thanks for ad. Been looking for a ST for a few weeks which have found out not easy to find. A local dealer has a 2009 with 102,000 miles. It has the MC cruise control. Little concerned about mileage. Are these bikes as reliable and bullet proof as the Goldwings? What to look for? Also what's available to lower seat height. I'm only a 30" inseam and the 31" seat height is going to be a bit tall for me.

I am 6'1" with a 30" inseam and the ST1300 was no problem riding. I traded in my ST with 130,000 miles on it and it was in excellent condition with easily another 200,000 miles left with routine maintenance.
