Here We Go Again - News From The Holler

@Uncle Phil...just catching up to this thread UP. Hope you are on the mend and feeling a lot less pain now! My left shoulder has been really bugging me a lot last couple weeks...hoping a shot and rehab will calm it down!

Uncy Phil, for bike travel these are easy to carry. I daresay you have a US equivalent.

Fortunately, that part of my anatomy has been repaired/replaced and work quite well (both knees replaced a while back).
If my 'new' shoulders work as well as the 'new' knees I should be in tall cotton!

Fali - I hope so too - you're too young to be getting old! ;)

UP, now I know why you call it the Holler. ;) I hope that the pain has settled down for you and that the rehab goes well...

And you've got the tall box too!
I seldom see one of those on this side of the pond for sure.
I have both sizes of topcases, in Sparkling Silver Metallic! of course! I swapped my USA grey pebble top 21ltr topcase with GIVI rack with Jim Neagle (JimSTer, STOC 8083) for his in SSM. Don’t remember the story behind his. The big 35ltr in SSM was gifted to me by Jim Dwyer (JD2002, STOC 7657). Jim worked volunteer corner crew at a big stateside auto racetrack with a Brit for some years. The Brit gifted the topcase to him. Has some scratches and rubs on it but I love it. I need to apply some more decals strategically.

Yes, I had to pay 'handsomely' to get all of mine - the shipping from the UK was as much as the boxes.
But they are a great top box and go nicely with the ST1100.
I even have a ST1100 'radio pocket' with rubber boot and the original top box back pad somewhere in my 'archives'.

I attached an ST1100 rack to a spare rear cowl on my ST1300 and put the smaller top box on. Looked quite good. Sadly stolen now along with the rest of the rear end (cowl, matrix tailpiece etc). I still have the keys though! :D

Good news from the ortho doc this morning - I can remove the cushion on the sling so it's just like a regular sling now (a lot more comfortable).
And as of March 1, I can pitch the sling - which is two weeks quicker than it was for the left shoulder.
Still a lot of therapy to go, but the good thing is that the progress is forward!

:run1:

Glad to read you're on the road to recovery, Phil. Glad you didn't fall off the ladder while looking for the speedo.

Fali, Sorry to hear about your shoulder. I'm having similar pain , but on the right side, injured in 75 from an endo on a Yamaha dual sport. It's been worked on before but likely to get worse through over time.

Ah, the golden years - 'cause it takes so much gold to fix what's broken and worn out!

Hi Phil, hope you and Miss Sharyn are doing well, if you want someone to ride with once all this pestilence is calmed down and you are fighting fit, or even just fit..... you know where I am, but I can be there with a bit of notice.....

Would be hiring a ride as I don't think I can cope with the weight of an ST anymore!!!

Those Honda's are just a bit heavier than my current steed....
